****The Official Note III Thread****

It's all about having DPI per App.

I would say it's about lighting exact pixels...a 1080 panel can be less sharp than a 720 if text is native at a comfortable size on the 720 but zoomed on a 1080

You've lost me with your explanation mate. Android scales well to most DPI levels.

I use different DPI depending on the app (using an Xposed module for per app DPI, I'm not a fan of PA the only reason I used it on my S2 was the per app DPI), and tablet mode on the apps that I can (Gmail/Play Music mainly).

I really don't like the back on this, it's putting me off getting it and I was certain I was going to buy it before the announcement :(. I'll probably still get it but not until it's around £500 I guess.

As for the above, text always seems to scale properly with DPI change, it's the spacing that I find breaks depending on the DPI.

Placed a pre order on Expansys via quidco 3.5% cash back.

They say payment wont be taken untill shipment but the £600 is gone from my account pmsl

Oh well... cant wait ;)

Expansys checkout said £499 after following the quidco link? Pre-ordered anyway there :)

If you display a dot (full stop) natively it will be 1 Pixel, scale it 200% it will be 4 pixels, try and scale it 150% and it trys to light 1.5x1.5 pixels and will be blurred on the edges, do you follow ?

I guess!

Just got confirmation from Quidco:
You've made your first purchase through Quidco. This tracking receipt is to let you know we've recorded your purchase. We're just waiting for the retailer to give us the thumbs up before we pay your cashback.

Receipt to: xxx
Date: 10th September 2013 08:46:00
Retailer: Expansys UK (Estimated payment date 20 February)
Purchase amount: £499.99

Cashback amount: £17.50

No mention of VAT anywhere in confirmations and Quidco have confirmed a tracked cashback amount in relation to £499 so not sure now lol.

On Expansys it lists it as 600, on the basket it shows 500 and mentions VAT below it but no mention of how much (doesn't mention the VAT % nor actual amount in £s, I know it's supposed to be 20% :p), on the payment screen it shows 500 with no mention of VAT at all.

Haven't ordered it so don't know what it says after the CC details page.

Yes, but unless your nose is up against the screen you won't notice it.

Also your taking it to the extreme. So what happens when text on web pages/apps are all different sizes?

Your post makes no point?
