****The Official Note III Thread****

Also, blades shoot out from the sides of the phone!
E-fuses are nasty things if you like modding, Microsoft have used them to great effect for years. Not quite vampire nasty I'll grant you. Still there's plenty of S4 owners now with permanently voided warranties because of it. Bit of a drawback if you want to root it, no? What was nice is they just sent out an OTA that loads of people took and had no idea of the consequences.
Yep this looks a tricky one to bypass ... I was already to order a Note 3 till reading chainfires post few days a go and doing some research
So was I, just about to chop in my S4 (which thankfully I didn't update to knox). No way I'd want the N3 without any root access and I do like custom firmware as well. It's not just bypassing it, with it setting an irrevocable warranty flag when you flash it. Too big a risk for me with such an expensive device. Bit disappointed tbh, Nexus or Google Editions from now on I guess.

I did the pre order with phone and watch for £798.

Going to collect it next Wednesday from Westfield Stratford.

Looking forward to it.

Is this deal still on? because for an extra £180 i wouldn't mind that watch

edit:
Noticed the only way i can get it with the £100 off is if i find a samung store :( oh well

Just rang 3 they said it'll be £99 + a £34 pm contract 500/500 & unlimited data.
Which I didn't think was a bad price.
But then the G2 I've seen from £26 pm & free phone
I'd be going from a galaxy nexus

It doesn't void the warranty of the handset - it voids the KNOX warranty. It's just their way of flagging potentially dodgy handsets to the KNOX system administrators, and also covers their back in case of legal issues.

I got mine delivered today from carphone warehouse, it's an amazing phone, I am a little annoyed that the bottom 3rd of the screen has a pinkish hue to it on a white background, but I cannot fault the rest of the phone.

But i thought if you rooted you lost warranty? and this is a way to can tell its been rooted?
