****The Official Note III Thread****

low light shooting mode is missing - why they hell did they do that?:mad
Doesn't it auto detect this? When I was paying with my mate's the other evening I'm pretty sure I heard the tts say something like "night mode enabled"

Oh, and the N3 wouldn't be the first phone this year to have a poor performing camera on release, only to be significantly improved a few weeks later with an update. HTC one, Motorola x, Nokia 920 etc etc

Yes it auto detects .. playing last night the low light icon popped up on mine

Is there any lag on this phone? I'm due an upgrade and well it's either this or the iphone 5s. I'm kind of bored of the iPhone so wanted a change to see what's android like.

Just picked mine up yesterday. Have come from a note 2 with android revolution hd on it. Was a very smooth experience. Just wanted peoples opinions on a couple of things.

For anyone who previously had a note or note2, or even to those who didnt, what are your thoughts on the note 3 stylus. Mine just doesn't seem to be very sensitive. There is a degree of pressure required as opposed to that purely capacative connection to get it to register.

The other thing is that the stock browser appears to be rubbish. What do people think. Scrolling in the browser is not as smooth as id hoped.

Also, what are people disabling. I want it to be a performance machine without any resource draining junk in the background

Look forward to your opinions people

Is there a comparison of the camera quality vs the Note II/S3 (same camera)?

This is semi important to me really as I use the camera a lot. Samsung have in the past updated the camera apps on S3 and Note 2 in newer software updates to add new features and improve quality so I imagine that will happen here as well.

Upgraded with EE on a 12 month deal - £61/month and £20 up front for the handset for 5GB data. It's incredible how much better value their 12 month deal are to their 24 month deals.

Hopefully don't have to wait too long as the lady on the phone couldn't be certain it would be sent out in good time.

Wonder how much I can get for my Note 2?

I've just put mine up on local classifieds for £250, let's see if anyone takes it at that. If they do I'm straight down to CPW to pick up the 3.

So much for waiting... :o

I'm in Nottingham today so let's see if either of the O2 shops here have stock. Itching to get my hands on once.

Just downloaded a new stock GB rom. Cant remember but do I need to be rooted to flash this via Odin?

The ROM I currently have is MI6 and I have just downloaded MI7.

Yeah as with all Samsung phones if it's stock tar package then flash when the phone is in download mode via Odin.

Thanks mrk, will give it a try.

Good luck with your Note 2 sale, someone should snap your hand off with that price.

2 people have offered £290 and want my Paypal address because they are "abroad" - Haha. I even put in the ad cash on collection only.

Waiting for genuine buyers :p

The genuine buyers are now after the real thing. :p

I have a .TAR file and .MD5

Where do I put them both?

Auto-reboot and F.Reset Time are both ticked, it won't erase the phone will it?

Leave the checkboxes at their default values!!

Select the tar file using the PDA button in Odin, flash. The progress bar will indicate where it's at and be green and phone reboot once done. If there's a problem then Odin will stop.

At default values it's not going to wipe anything especially if you're going from stock to stock, just a newer ROM version.
