****The Official Note III Thread****

And my second Note 3 is going back, 2 issues this time, something i didnt notice in the shop or while i installed the battery at home, its bulging in the center :( so crappy and again didnt notice in the shop due to the screen protector thing, but theres a chip at the corner of the screen and the bezel also has a bulge around 1mm gap :( not much luck at the moment.

Its almost like the screen and bezel were not straight in the jig or whatever when it was bonded down, poor poor show samsung.
 
After installing the stock ROM MJ3 there are a few changes I have noticed and wanted to know if you guys have the same.

1. The camera app has changed and now have different shooting modes like golf etc.

2. After taking a picture with the camera it says processing for about a second and then you can take the next picture where as before it was instant and the processing message did not appear.

3. The phone reception I don't think is as good as before.

4. The Wifi is not so good as before but I now get messages sometimes saying I have an unstable connection.

I was originally on the 3 firmware version MI7.

Anyone else have any of these changes and issues.

No idea about that one I didnt really look at the camera settings

It has probably enabled the image stabilisation/night mode

I've actually noticed the opposite. I had the unstable connection warning a couple of times of MI7 but none yet on MJ3

There is also surround mode now which was not present before

You were right the stabilisation was on

The Wifi has not dropped since yesterday seems to be ok and not messages have come up

The Issue I have is it only gets 60MB down not that I need more but my S4 gets a hundred and come on this phone is supposed to be better

I might try a different router, I have an Asus N65U, anyone else had any issues with these routers. I read that there was a firmware update for the router when the S4 came out so maybe they will issue one for the N3 but not sure.

Also does your phone still feel as fast as it did before?
 
Phone has been no different in speed or battery life since going from MI7 to MJ3 that I can tell.

I'd have stayed on the MI7 rom but I'd rather not wait months for updates like you usually have to with carrier branded roms...Especially with Android Kit Kat around the corner.

The quickest connection I have to test wifi on is 30MB virgin but speed test maxes that no problem.
 
My Gear arrived the other day and first impressions are very good. I'm not quite sure why its getting such bad reviews on the standard review sites.

I've found its functionality very good. Yes there's a few things which it cant do at the minute but that's not to say we will see them in the near future.



Perfect size, and sometimes I forget I'm wearing it.

Went back today, spoke to the area manager as he was in when i went back, they gave me a battery from an opened box for the meantime, they have run out of Black Note3's and are awaiting the second batch, they also (P4U) agree i shouldnt have these issues and will be taking it up with samsung in the meantime, and are hoping the second batch will be trouble free as the ones they had are from the very first batch (thought most places would be), going back friday to see what they can do.
 
That goes against what we've seen with all the steady stream of ROM leaks from S3 all the way to Note 3.
