I wasn't talking about the gap in pixels, I meant visually to the human eye.
1080 to 1440 is huge. 1440 to 4K isn't unless you're on a monitor past 30".

Even if it was 550.01 you would not get it ? if that was the case i would be happy to donate you 1p so you can get it and then its not been 1 penny more for you.
From what i have read thus far best guess
1080 £549.99
founders 1080 £649.99
If there below £500 then not bad.. but still its a fair few thousand pennies
Don't ask you don't get. It's worked for me in the past with OCUK! However I very much doubt it will work on a new release. there will be strict prices they have to sell to. It's not like a dusty old product sitting on the shelves that they might as well get rid of before is obsolete.

Getting more and more tempted by a 1080 if its performance increase in VR is true.
I suspect it will be special because it will be the only card available at launch so in effect its an nvidia price gouging..
But to be fair i think its more to do with the aluminium shroud its encased in..not 100% on that but from what i have heard ..

Its just the new name for the reference card as far as im aware.
Im pretty sure that competition amongst OCUK and other named hardware sellers will be competing against each other and my post will have absolutely no effect on their selling price

I can go one better than that. I sold my 980 ti then went to use onboard graphics forgetting my monitor only takes DP and onboard is HDMI.
I'm on my HTPC until i get a 1080 ha!
