** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

Even if this is a huge jump I guess it's just making up for the smaller increments we were stuck with at 28nm. Now I need some games to make upgrading from my Ti worthwhile, I just don't see that happening in the next 12 months.

Can I ask. Are these reviewers cherry picked by Nvidia (e.g. Hardware Canucks, Jayz two cents) or are they truly random? Will it (I promise I'm not trolling here) be unbiased reviews?

Don't ask that :), you'll only ever get opinions, some of which will be predictable based on their AMD/Nvidia preference and level of paranoia :;)

Nobody knows. I would guess they will at least be checked for "quality", I'll leave it at that.
But normal anyway to ensure the samples for review are decent. Even automobile manufacturers do the same. In fact performance cars often have a "press pack" applied with a few tweaks here and there.
They won't make "special" chips though and I doubt they'll go through thousands of them to cherry pick the best 6 or whatever.

I meant more the people actually reviewing them.
As for the chips themselves. There isnt a doubt in my mind that they are cherry picked. Of course they are. AMD or Intel would do the same.

My only question, single 1080 or 1070 SLi for 3440 UW res. Hmmmmmmmmmm

Dual 1080s will just be overkil, surely???? :D

1080, then just go vega or 1080Ti. Not the best idea going SLI right now.

But if all you to do is benchmark or watch the fps numbers on an overlay while playing, SLI is the way.

before you realise that the 1070 will be the best price-performance card.

It is going to be anyhow, we all know that. But having that top card is nice for some peeps. Myself? I have a choice between a single 1080 and dual 1070's (til the big boys arrive)

I'm tempted by a pair of 1080's too but it'll be total overkill at my res (3440)

Well, JayTwoCents admits to preferring the green team in his own personal builds.

Yes, but Nvidia isn't looking at people that want top card. Look at the 970. Nvidia biggest selling card ever. They want them to buy a 1080 not a 1070
