Against stock cards yea, doesn't look so special against pre-oced 980Ti's so far.

A stock 980Ti doesn't look so special against a heavily overclocked 980 either.

Lets wait until we get the custom AIB cards until we start writing off its overclocking availability.

Just wait and see...

It's clear people with 1080 will be leaving the 980ti owners behind...

This is fact

If you don't like it or think it's worth it that's fine but the 1080 is the fastest card available

People still in denial? come on boys and girls (probably mostly girls the way some of you go on :)), , we know you all want them. Some can't justify or afford them but don't continue trying to drag the cards down. They are the new top end card. Drivers will surely only push them further ahead too as that's where Nvidia driver development will now be focusing for a while BUY BUY BUY

Don't forget these are launch drivers vs mature drivers on the 980 Ti too.

The 680 was 30% faster than the 580 at launch, but ended up 40% faster down the line.

So in the long run the 1080 may well end up being 50% faster than a 980 Ti (stock vs stock obviously).

Also has it been mentioned Tom's Hardware did an Ashes test, and seems 99% certain Pascal is doing hardware async, and not just software.

Seems to be you hit the single 8pin power limitation so we really have to wait for custom factory OC cards to come out to see the true potential.

Also the thermal throttling of Boost3. Nvidia's reference cooler may be good, but at the end of the day it's a closed single-fan design, so it has nothing on coolers like the windforce.

The custom cards with another power connector and better coolers should be very interesting.
