** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

Im laughing so hard right now. Im so glad i made the choice to skip mid tier pascal cause this milking is extreme even for early adopters tax. But must **** to be the guys who sold their 980ti for pennies only to find out that they could have bought 2 more 2nd hand and still have a few pounds left compared to a brand new 1080.

You think this is funny now. Just wait for 1080Ti price.

The real comedy has just started.

I think I'd be taking myself off the local cliff top if I'd sold a 980ti in the 300 range for one of these.

Yer, seen that and if I can save a few pennies, happy to do so and I will be putting a blcok on it, so not fussed with the cooler at all.

You'd be better of putting a custom card under water, it looks like the reference cards throttle due to power constraints as well.

AMD watching the 1080 Price reveal...

Very true but I wanted to do a ref Vs ref on the most modern games in side by side vids and then put the card on water and sell the TX and recoup some funds. Not fussed on what monetary hit I get and will most likely do the same again when NVidia release the Ti or even AMD release Vega.

Lol, they must have been smacked up when they came up with those prices, I was seriously considering replacing my 980 for one of these, not so sure anymore .

Inflation is 0.5% at best since the recession.

teh980 was released after the recession and US inflation rates have been 0.7-1.2%. Account for inflation the 980 launch price would be about $20 more now, so Nvidia has raised the 980 price point by $30, about 20 quid. Yet somehow in the UK that $50 extra is 200GBP
