** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

Just trying to remember what happened way back in the 600 series when the first titan showed up, because I think a similar thing could happen this time around. The 680 was the top single gpu for the series, and they delayed the 700 series and instead released the titan and charged stupid money just because they could.
The 1080 might be on top for a while, and when the next top Nvidia gpu comes along everyone will be disappointed because they were expecting a reasonably priced ti, but the next titan will show up instead for megabucks.
That's just what I think anyway. If they can charge a fortune they will

The 780 was released before the Titan.

I stand corrected. The Titan was launched 3 months before 780.

Sounds optimistic. Id gues £450 per card for 1070.

I know you guys like the big boy cards here, but when will the mid range and mobile chips start coming onto the scene?

How?

Founders edition MSRP is $699 but £620 here (including price gouging for release)

Founders edition for the 1070 MSRP is $449 so it wont be £450.

Release founders will probably be high three hundreds, with the actual proper price of the AIB stuff starting in the low three hundreds.

keep dreaming .. all that sold for £375-400+ regret it now

I dont regret selling my 980ti for around 370 pounds. i think i got a good price considering how the 2nd hand market is here in denmark(pretty brutal people expect to get used items for nearly free) and since i dont give a rats furry behind about pascal i now have money set aside for the polaris setup i hope will be worth my money. If it shows to be a failure well i can always buy something else. Got a 290 coming my way that ive precured for free which will be more than enough until whatever i want has launched..

It all leads into the end goal of my plan which is getting rid of this silly gsync tn screen i have and getting a proper ultrawide IPS from LG(freesync enabled) which i have been foaming over for a while now.

I don't think it will be £450 for the 1070 FE, but I am all but certain the price will start with '4'. I think anyone believing otherwise is being somewhat naive. From a marketing perspective alone, given we know the specs of the 1070 and have some idea of how it will match up against the 1080, it would be a pretty big sales blunder to price the 1070 so cheap as they'd sell very few 1080's. Pricing the 1080 FE so high has given us a big clue as to the 1070 FE pricing. Where the AIB custom cards fall within all this is the bigger unknown, but I suspect many will come in far more expensive than people think.

The cheaper cards are £620. Several branded boxes are priced £10-£30 higher.

For me its just the gap between £620 and £3xx. Seems too big, therefore expecting around the mid £400's. There looks to only be around a £150 gap between current 980's and 970's.

$699 ended up £620-£650. Still likely to be about £575-650 for MSRP cards. Possibly more for the top tier G1, MSI gaming etc.
$449 is likely to end up about £400-£420 for the 1070 founders?
Vendor cards are likely to be £375-£420. Again nearer the founders price or more for the top tier cards.

I'm interested in seeing how powerful the 1070 is. I'm still doubtful it will be able to beat the 980Ti in all scenarios. Especially as it is using plain GDDR5 and a 25% core reduction over the 1080.

The 1070, even the founders edition, wont be £450.

The founders edition 1080 is £619 for all brands. I am not interested in OCUK's odd variation in prices between brands. It isn't just OCUK selling them ;)

Only here. The Founders edition is £619 for all brands. The 1070 founders will not be the exact same price in dollars as pounds. £400 maximum I reckon and then the custom ones will start from £320 ish.

The gigabyte is £635. The asus is £650.

Custom ones will be as expensive if not more over the FE due to prod cost. Already stated by gamersnexus that they know they are going to be between $650-700 for a decent AIB. Top tier is likely to be more than that.

I think we are going to see many of the top tier custom cards at computex. EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte are already anounced to be there may 31-jun 4th.

We saw that with the GTX 980Ti's. They should be released pretty quickly after that.

I think we will see some cards for launch but not the likes of the Gigabyte Xtreme, Msi Gaming, EVGA hybrids/classified etc.

Why are there not any evga ACX etc? Are they under NDA as well, or will they not be released on the 27th and it will be FE only? FE only on 27th, AIB cards early june, thats what it looks like, unless some more cards pop up for preorder.
