Going to get myself a 1080 next week - but just wondering if my corsair RM550 power supply would be up to the job. My set is a i7 4970 running at 4.7ghz with a GTX 970 right now and is completely stable.

Am i likely to run into any issues with a straight swap to a GTX 1080?

I used to see 550W peak with 2 x 970 + i5 3570K OC so 1 x 1080 should be no problem.

Just tested my 1 x 980 Ti OC + i7 5820K OC and Corsair Link reports 475W max input to the PSU. 580W total at the mains box via a wireless power meter.

Ain't modern gadgets useful :)

Holy crap just saw somewhere from competitor listed PNY GTX 1070 part GF1070GTX8GEPB priced £300 inc VAT.

I guess it the cheapest one with blower cooler.

Edit: I just googled try to find the part number and it showed up that it is not the blower one but it is Founders Edition!

I think I saw the same one yesterday and it was EXCLUDING VAT. So the real price was around £365, add on £30-35 for retailers and you have your £400 FE price we heard about a week ago.

This price gouging isn't doing us any favours here in the UK. The price of the non FE 1080s should be £494 including VAT for the cheapest models and the price of the 1070 non FE should be £315 inclusive of VAT for the cheaper models. I must admit to not really looking around for prices but if the 1070 is more than £350 for a decent model, the rest will be price gouging.

Well a certain retailer has had stock of the EVGA FE for over a day now and still hasn't sold out, has plenty.

Maybe all the crazy people willing to spend £620 on the FE have bought one now so now Nvidia can lower the price :p

Wow, this is the fastest Titan X in our bench thread.

10374, GFX Score 10772, TitanX Water Cooled, Physics Score 23083, CPU 5960X @4.8 Water Cooled

25% faster graphics score. Nice.

Guessing its watercooled? Cant see no temps but it did say max temp 15degrees in MSI afterburner. So it needs aftermarket card and extra voltage to hit 2.5? And some considerable cooling? Guess 2.5 is not for everyone then guessing 2.2 - 2.4 on average will be the most we will see on these forums with the exception of the odd few hitting 2.5.
