*****The OFFICIAL OCUK 2010/2011 Fantasy Football League*****

The emergency captain rule is ridiculous, you should just pick a captain and vice captain and that's it. Surely Cahill would have been one of the last choices for some of you to captain since he played away at City and Everton are struggling to score. Especially if you actually picked someone who played as captain and getting less than the Cahill captain.

I'm just gutted I sold Cahill last week..

I think emergency captain should work as the substitutes tbh, so you choose in which order your players will become captain if someone doesn't play.

thanks

damn no nani today the man is my captain

it looks like I got value selected this means that rooney will be my captain

good luck wazaa get a hat trick yer right!

Bloody snow on Merseyside, 5 players are out, including 1 sub. Bloody brilliant.
I just hope that the captain is someone with some points.. Last time it was Cahill, but of course he's not playing now..

And WTF is with Nani not playing?

yer nani non selection is a massive headache for lots
just don't get it

maybe Fergie knew that it would snow at Everton and Birmingham wouldn't play so he is saving nani for tuesday night?

you know this game this season is very unfair

most of my players didn't play on the weekend and today I'm missing a huge chunk as well!!

so my team misses out on points today come March or when the games get played again loads of managers will put in players who are due to play - I think that is very harsh and unfair on my team in the league. I've gone from 1st to 4th as a result of the bad weather

I hope they do something to prevent people abusing this

To be fair this season's been awful anyway.
Very few of the big names (or teams!) have been in excellent form, let alone consistent.

I think it's been very difficult to keep on top of who's in good shape compared to previous seasons.
Or maybe it's just because I haven't done it since the 07-08 season and I'm out of form myself :p

The thing is they aren't "abusing" it, it is just how the game works. Premier League FF is based purely on gameweeks so part of management is assessing how you can get the most points in every gameweek.

Sure it's annoying, but it's just the way you have to play the game. As an example we already know the date for the postponed Blackpool vs MU game, towards the end of January, so you should be thinking about how best to position your transfers to take advantage of the week when those two teams play twice.

I disagree; whilst there have been many people who've been on temporary form, there have been several who have maintained consistent (75% of games have got more than say 2 pts) scoring, such as Carroll, Berb, Nani, Y Youre, Hart, VDV.

Cahill and Nani letting me down this week. It was Cahill or VdV for Malouda, so lost out. Also bought Hughes instead of Huth or Nielsen. Hughes got 5/6 which is ok, but Huth raked in 14 or something.

missed the transfer window for this week :/

but had 2 transfers so brought in :

van der vaart
onuoha
berbatov

put out:
vidic
davies
malouda

was thinking about bringing in welbeck, but carroll seems to score every game almost and berbatov is on form and once rooney gets his first goal i think they will come flooding in. hes also not doing too bad on the assists so is bringing in the points.

put vidic out as i already have rooney and nani, so its him or berba.

going to keep rooney captain as he always plays the 90 mins.

team is:

Foster

ashley cole
onuoha
baines

nani
van der vaart
bale
adam ( comes of suspension tomorrow)

berbatov
rooney
carroll

got 3.4 in the bank, i wish i could have more strikers! could swap out ashley come for tevez :/

Rooney captain? Really? He's scored 1 goal all season and is completely out of form. Yes he does assist, but then you may as well have Berba, especially for the price difference.

I'm hoping for a late season surge thanks to some good early investments: team value is 104 and I've got 2.1 in the bank.
