It's true, but only to a point. There's nothing there about turnout.

Politically engaged young people vote. The disengaged don't. The latter is the majority. That contrasts to older generations, where people generally vote whether or not they actually agree with the arguments being presented. Anecdotal evidence would suggest that at least some older people voted Leave to give the establishment the middle finger. Many young people have been doing that for years by simply choosing not to vote.

It's a little disingenuous to suggest those ratios are static for all levels of turnout.

They don't. No analysis of cast votes is carried out that would require people to cross-check votes against the register and log what each person voted thus violating the principle of a secret ballot.

Look at the size of the sample, it is BS.

That sample is plenty big enough. Although YouGov didn't do a great job of predicting the result (unlike TNS and Opinium) so presumable these figures are out too.

We shouldn't ignore people's concerns about immigration because that causes problems, but it's cool to play down reports of people being told they can leave the country now.

It is not cool at all.

what i have said is a load of crap, I am just pointing out that lots of people actually have those views. If people did not have those views LEAVE would have not won by focusing on immigration alone.

It is the old tried and tested method. When in a downturn blame the immigrant for the countries ills rather than the politicians who screwed it up. Immigrants were brought over from the Caribbean to work in the Post office, railways, hospitals etc because they were poorly paid and the locals did not want these jobs. It has been the Jews, Irish, and now the Poles and Romanians getting the stick. No different from other times. As I was saying earlier when I was at school the local farmer got school kids to pick strawberries because he could not get locals.
Politicians screwed up the economy, housing, education etc etc but blame the immigrants. Seems you can fool some of the people all of the time.

Last I checked we were the 7th largest manufacturing nation by value, could have changed?

Anyone who has an issue with immigrants working hard, paying taxes and contributing to our society in a law abiding manner is foolish. We need their skills and the exit will not change that. It is important we tell them however because many of them are now fearing it does and thats not good.

That 2nd referendum petition is stupid. It reads:

We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum.

Either wont happen. We'll just keep having referendums. I wish they would just accept the vote. Anyway, I wouldn't have thought you could pass an act like this retrospectively, only for future referendums?

This Referendum was legally held with high voter turnout. That petition is going nowhere, you may as well wipe your bottom with it.

Is that a serious reply or another joke one seriously im so confused.

Comparing life 40 odd years ago to now, I don't even know if being alive then is even relevant in anyway to modern life: yes they were alive in the 70s. The world was identical back then as it is now.. NOTHING has changed at all. Britian was at the peak of its .... 3 day week and economic collapse at the hands of trade unions.. all home grown issues.

Anyway i digress.
