I had a debate with an American friend who has spent the last few years working overseas in South East Asia. She said by leaving the EU we are taking away choice and not creating opportunities for our children.

The irony of America fighting for its independence and becoming the leading global super-power seemed to be lost on her, as did the fact that she had no problem in forging a career that involved moving to another country....

I don't see Irony. I see someone not being dumb enough to think 250 year old achievements and the invention of nuclear weapons really matter in a modern 21Cent. world.
I dont know about her career maybe an American company ? No point me trying to be clever. sorry :p

I am glad it was over a million people of difference in the end, no matter what side won, it is also good that most remain camp people were quickly trying to build bridges this morning, speaking of a united UK trying to get the best exit deal we can.
It was later the labour tards started turning upon themselves, just as well they won't be doing the negotiating.

I will be very interested to see how they try to preserve our service sector income from the EU, whilst at the same time blocking freedom of movement.
Goods is the easy bit, but good means nothing to us, if they put a token charge on goods we sell to them, we just do it in return and make mass profit.
The service sector will be where the difficulties lie, as freedom of movement to work for employment is linked towards that.

If applying for work visa per job lot becomes a norm, it'll hurt services.

Yeah we're going to become America now. What do the markets know, wiping off £100 billion, bunch of muppets. :o

Hardly. The 70 year old lived in a pre-EU UK , so of course they'll have a better understanding.

How? The abstract concept of 'Britain outside of the EU' isn't difficult to grasp. The world has changed so much in 50 years that the details will be vastly different. Our economy has changed beyond recognition, and globalisation has altered the game completely.

Also the chart saying how people voted is nonsense cause polling is private, so smug remain don't know for sure old people voted leave, thats based on the pre-referendum polls.

I thought everyone had to work and pay into the system for four years first?

This may come as a bit of a shock to you, but those who come here with the sole intention of committing crime, e.g., the gangs of Romanian pick-pockets that infect certain areas, don't actually pay into the system. At the moment, the police arrest them and then, in a few hours, they're back out committing the exact same crimes. Now we've left the EU, perhaps we can start kicking them out and adding their biometrics to a 'No Entry' database.

So, no evidence at all then?

Why do I have to find any? If you are so bothered go look yourself. I don't even understand the point you are trying to make; it's just coming across as the arrogant youth bitching about the selfish and out of touch elderly.

Honestly, I had enough of that crap with Robocod earlier so just do yourself a favour and zip it.
