Take it you not up on the British way of thinking.

Its called urinate us off and we will bite back big time.

Same as Russian bear etc. Do not mess with us period, we have balls and teeth made of titanium. ;)

Yeah great, and brains made of **** apparently.

So that's what Brexit is about eh? Not about building a better, safer future for our country? Just xenophobic sabre rattling and harking back to an era long long past. Sad.

Who are we biting back exactly? We seem to only be biting ourselves at the moment.

Right, ok then.

This is just hyperbole, yes? Or do you really believe it?

I would not say it if I did not believe it. ;)

Go read a little history about Great Britain, you will be surprised on how ruthless and strong we are.

I don't agree with all of it, some was down right ruthless and arbitrary but its the British way so deal with it.

I think you'll find its less about "loss", more a realisation of just how far leave are going to start backtracking (not that it will surprise many on the remain side).

They already have on:
- 350m for the NHS
- Controlling EU immigration

But you still have people claiming we got our 'country back'

People vote politicians to do the job...

Having a PM not elected isn't democracy, in Italy we have that sh** face that no one voted being Merkel's puppy as the French's (Well at least he was elected).

As I always said the only way to reset the whole thing is a war.......Germany never learn...it never did...it never will...

You'll be pleased to know that Britain does't democratically elect it's PM either. It's done indirectly during General Elections and will soon be done by just a handful of people when Camerons replacement steps up.

Funny really, after all the claiming the EU officials "aren't" elected.:(

a middle ground will not be found without the inclsuion of free movement of people. This is a fact. If the UK don't are can't accept that then there will be no free trade. moreover there are no stipulations that any trade agreements need to be in place by the time the 2 year period finishes. If the UK cannot find any concession then they get cut lose with or without their trade agreement. The EU will find a way (likely via the ECB) to re stabilise it's remaining members and they key indsutries while the UK flounders around like a fish out of water. The perceived dream position brexiters purport we will get is just that, a dream. The EU will never concede free trade without free movement of people.

leaving the EU but remaining part of the EEA might sound nice, but again this means 1. still paying the EU and 2. accepting free movement of people. Both of which are points the brexit camp campaigned saying if we leave we get to keep our money and curb EU immigration. The main difference now would be that we follow those rules still but no longer have any seat at the table where they are now conceived.

The EU will never agree to free trade without free movement of people, so I hope everyone starts getting that into their thought patterns quickly and don't waste the little time we will be afforded kicking a dead horse

Perhaps the EU ought to have given some concessions to Cameron when requested... I think they might well be kicking themselves a bit now. There are several EU countries in much more precarious positions than the UK right now which the market reaction to this highlights.

If thats true why is the EU so scared of other members leaving that they have to 'punish' us?

Money...

It's not like they'll have access to such expense accounts or even jobs should other major contributors leave once they realise they can get a better deal outside the EU.

Educate me. I'd like to see where you get your history from.

Canada got free market access without freedom of movement.

They did indeed but its geographically located to make free movement a bit moot, secondly its mainly exporting gold isn't it? I'm guessing thats quite a good bargaining tool and finally the whole thing (CETA, I looked it up) is made up of around 20+ companies. Its not really a comparable market.

Not sounding like such a great club to me - who does it actually serve?

The ECB will see to it that what ever countries are left behind will get propped up enough to ensure the survival of the EU. The UK is about to get a massive **** you, yet we are all still thinking we will get what we want out of this.

i have an image of you as a BNP/Britain First supporter from all your nationalistic postings.

Every time I read something of yours, I think this guy must be a troll or something. Because nobody could be this stupid about about so many things but then you keep posting ****

Eh, we've basically rolled over and let everybody else have their way for the past few hundred years. I don't know what history you've been reading!

Anyone who reads about the history of Britain will just feel depressed that we went from being the worlds largest empire and global super power to a tiny island who's only significance lies in it's culture and economy.
