Meanwhile, Xavier Bertrand, the president of Hauts-de-France region where Calais is located, said: "The English wanted to take back their freedom: they must take back their border."

LOL HAHAHAHA HOPE THIS HAPPENS AS IT SHOULD, WE VOTED FOR CONTROL OF OUR BORDERS SO WE SHOULD TAKE CONTROL OF THEM

The mayor of Calais wants changes to a deal which allows Britain to carry out immigration checks on the French side of the English Channel, after a UK vote to leave the EU.
Natacha Bouchart said Paris must act after Thursday's referendum in which the UK voted to leave the EU.
"The British must take the consequences of their choice," she said on Friday.

The French government have already said no to this. The border control stays.

Moody's cut UK's credit outlook to 'negative'

"A lower rating would typically correspond to higher borrowing costs, and that would be felt not just by the government but by businesses and households in the longer term "

All those on lower incomes and voted leave suck it up.

And with that brain you have the right to vote? Isn't that oxymoron, when you are the same as the others?

You seem to be struggling, so let me help

Hmm, we seem to be leaving this 'dictatorship' because we have decided to...doesn't sound like they have total power over us, and I don't remember any force.

Maybe it's more like a 'membership of a club' that has rules and the people of that club hand out reprimands if you don't follow those rules, but there's the door if you want to leave.

Yea, that sounds more like it.....dictatorship lol, go and have a look at those countries that really are dictatorships

And Britain wants to have the benefits of the club but not pay the fees. The EU are right The UK has been a lukewarm member at best, always wanting opt outs for this or that. So now we start to pay the price.... our credit rating is cut and petrol is due to rise next week.

So we build a camp in DOVER as the French cant handle anything without a grant.

I was leaning towards leave for some time but as mentioned earlier I decided to vote Remain at the end after doing a lot of research and soul searching for my children's future.

But we have voted out. I am worried for the future but now is the time to get on with it, pull together and work out the best way forward quickly. If Scotland wants to go then that will be terrible news. But I would probably want that in their situation. So let's get it over quickly, work out what can do to make the rest of the UK an attractive place to live and work and work through this as we always have as a nation.

Mate, seems only few of us have the common sense in here. Wrote something similar today, but apparently I am "out of touch" with what people want.

All this is showing is how nasty and personal we get as a human race if we disagree with some one, one of our biggest decisions made and instead of joining together to find a way forward we decided "**** it let's abuse each other and friends" yeah cause that will get us moving forward!

unelected commissioners ?

As opposed to the UK's unelected House of Lords with life membership, and the unelected Royal Family? Not to mention the fact that the Commissioners are just glorified civil servants, and the entire British Civil Service is unelected anyway...
