All this is showing is how nasty and personal we get as a human race if we disagree with some one, one of our biggest decisions made and instead of joining together to find a way forward we decided "**** it let's abuse each other and friends" yeah cause that will get us moving forward!

This is because there is such a divide in the people, had the result been 40/60 or above then perhaps it would be different.

But it would weather the result was a bigger gap or not either way people would be unhappy, doesn't make it an excuse to get personal all because they voted different to you. Our government has and is always the problem they lie, twist the truth. If anything it's our government that needs an entire new system and they all need to go

agreed

I think people have a right to be severely annoyed if there is a genuine chance that they will be negatively effected by this decision

yeah yeah - status quo wasn't that good either - agreed - but at least we were relatively stable and had some element of growth

I do agree we have to now find the best way to go forward, but that's not down to us the people, its the ruling government who do that.

Which at the minute we have no one at the helm of this ship, no plan and no idea of direction and it doesn't look like the people who sold this idea have a clue at the minute either.

So its understandable, especially with such a close call, things are a little jittery between the sides.

It's quite rare that happens though. Almost two million extra people voted leave over remain. 52% to 48% is quite clear-cut when it comes to a referendum as large as this.

The border controls at Calais and other arrangements are part of agreements made directly between the uk and French government. They have nothing to do with our eu membership.

And as others mentioned, if the French still want trande there then they will keep the agreements, which they stated that they are.

Meanwhile, Xavier Bertrand, the president of Hauts-de-France region where Calais is located, said: "The English wanted to take back their freedom: they must take back their border."

LOL HAHAHAHA HOPE THIS HAPPENS AS IT SHOULD, WE VOTED FOR CONTROL OF OUR BORDERS SO WE SHOULD TAKE CONTROL OF THEM

The mayor of Calais wants changes to a deal which allows Britain to carry out immigration checks on the French side of the English Channel, after a UK vote to leave the EU.
Natacha Bouchart said Paris must act after Thursday's referendum in which the UK voted to leave the EU.
"The British must take the consequences of their choice," she said on Friday.

You obviously do not understand the Treaty. Our 'border' was extended to France to make checks easier for Britain and help deter illegals. They now want us to remove our presence from France.
