I also agree with others on here that the leave voters or a large portion of them where to topple Cameron and his Stooge George, who have lied and ****ed over the working\poor class of this country. There was only so much **** they will take, as witnessed.

I did.

The irony is, the leave campaign was backed mostly by the even more far right conservatives, so whoever replaces them is likely to **** all over the working/poor classes even more than Cameron and Osborne have been perceived to.

Turkeys voting for Christmas.

Then the next GE, they'll all vote Labour, who were remain supporters and the whole thing will turn into a big mess as they try to backpedal and we end up with the really crap end of the EU stick

If any leave voters can actually show me some good logical reasons why this is good for us besides "national pride" and "we will make our country great again" then I am all behind you.

I need more than empty words.

Would this happening be far from the truth?

Vote to leave won, Cameron resigns, in a few years a general election comes and the new government ignores the leave vote and say oh that was the previous government's referendum..

I know what I said to you before, but i've seen this quote from Liam Fox

Meanwhile, Liam Fox cast doubt on the necessity of triggering the article 50 clause of the Lisbon treaty that sets out the legal process for a country’s EU withdrawal.

“A lot of things were said in advance of this referendum that we might want to think about again and that [invoking article 50] is one of them,” said the Conservative MP.

“I think that it doesn’t make any sense to trigger article 50 without having a period of reflection first, for the cabinet to determine exactly what it is that we’re going to be seeking and in what timescale.

I honestly think they have absolutely no option but to invoke article 50.

I'm really not sure how much passive aggressive complaining this country could cope with if they didn't :p

Last time I checked, the Leave demographic included everyone above the age of 45.

I'm a little rusty on my 20th century history these days, but I'm reasonably sure that people who are currently in their mid-40s did not fight so we can have a democracy.

Last time I checked the 45 was a long way off dying. Got a good 30 years left in you. So why is the argument that the older generation haven't got long left in them so they don't are what happens?

Remain need to stop crying.

Who here admits to signing that petition?

LMAO

Never seen anything so pathetic in all my life.

Mark my words, this won't happen. Imagine the president this sets if it does! Where does it end? Democracy will have zero meaning. Christ do you liberal lefties think twice before throwing all your toys out the pram?

Grow up and accept it, move on, the people have spoken.

Which year exactly did London get subsidised?

I'd like to see those numbers, because I can guarantee there is none. Loans were given to banks, which whilst concentrated in London apply across the country. These loans have almost all been paid back with interest.

I think what you will find is that the money injected into banks (the only money that hasn't been paid back yet) is actually paying for branches across the country. The values of which collapsed in the wake of this referendum.

But again, sentiment seems to rule over actual details.

I'm glad those banks were repaid, but I had to do part time bar work for 2 years because there were very few well paid full time jobs like the one I have now, could I have the £30k in my bank account?

Can we not be at each other's throats please? The result is what it is, and now we have to make a go of it. We're not going to do that if we despise anyone who voted differently to ourselves.

And this stuff about the older generation having more Leave voters than the younger generation. So what? What's your point? Are we going to take away people's vote once they reach retirement age? Are we going to ignore the result because of it? Stop complaining. It's done. Make your peace with it, and let's get to work.

No, because the majority are ignorant. The funny thing is they voted against their own interests, the poorest will get hit the worst again if the economy goes to ****.

Really is amazing to see how blind nationalism causes people to jump off a bridge because some chain smoking racist told them a bunch of lies.

Lmao.

I'm confused by the constant claim that it was 'liberal lefties' who voted Remain, when we all know that David Cameron and a substantial percentage of the entire Tory voting bloc was in favour of staying.

You must keep voting until we get the answer we want! :D

Sounds like the SNP.

And this is the fault of London how?

What you conveniently forget is that during those two years the government ran significant deficits to keep the country going, paying benefits, supporting businesses, keeping consumer demand going. These things all ensured you had part time work to go to.

If you check the table posted above covering 2010/2011, deficits which were supported by London and the South East. The numbers aren't too different for any other year.

Without London, you would be a lot worse off, back then and now. Not better off.

Lets be real, if you don't know what I'm referring to. There is no point even engaging you in the first place.

Because like most of pro leavers, you provide very little facts to back up your positions and in general know very little.

Think you probably need to work harder in life and stop blaming everyone else. Entitlement issues in this country are rife.

I always believed the referendum was a means to an end. Create a wave of referendums across the EU forcing it to completely change its ways. Giving each country an advantage at the negotiating table.

You sit there claiming that the ladder has been pulled away from you. What about all those in Southern Europe? The EU has completely decimated opportunities in life across Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal especially for the 18-25. Yet you sit there supporting it.

As long as it works for you *** everyone else?
