Gonna be funny in two years time when we can finally police our fishing areas, Those Spaniard boats can finally be dealt with... maybe with an accidental warning shot to the bow.

Sure, but what makes you think you're now in a better position to fulfil that demand compared to the unified European market? Especially considering that 10 years is pretty much what it will take to even have negotiated new treaties (never mind an actual recovery). E.g. http://shanghaiist.com/2016/06/24/china_brexit_response.php

The trend goes far further than ten to fifteen years. Europe has stagnated for a long time. They now have a competitor so of course they are not happy. The link you posted is just a propaganda on someone's blog. The Chinese will do business with anyone when there is a demand.

Why is everything you post in response to me just swear words? I'd like to have a rational debate about this but you seem unwilling to debate with me on anything I raise.

I respect the Leave campaign absolutely and there are reasons for leaving but you're unfortunately representing the view I proposed, that a lot of leave voters have voted on the basis of being angry and not on the basis of facts or rational opinion. And that makes me very sad.

Really, it makes you sad that the fact someone has taken another set of facts and figures and used them for there own point of view.

I voted what I think is BEST FOR ME not you.

Too many spoilt children who think that they have the god given given gift to determine the outcome in there own direction. I didn't realise we have grown to be a nation of mini dictators.

This is completely untrue. Boston had the biggest % of people voting to leave the EU. Coincidentally, they have the highest concentration Eastern Europeans in the UK.

Interesting. I read something in a newspaper the other day that completely contradicted that, including Boston as an example. I'll look into it and get back to you...

Come on, head out of sand! As a result of the Leave vote, in time UK citizens will be able to hold lawmakers to greater democratic account than before (ie, in comparison to when the unelected and unaccountable EU Commission decided laws and made us subject to them).

You do realise that the EU Commission is also democratically elected, right? With your vote for your MEP being directly responsible (to a degree, as in any democracy) for what the make up of the Commission is.

The real issue now is getting the right conservative leader with good financial acumen and negotiating skills to get ahead with a positive direction on the right trade deals, priorities, not being too soft or over committing to make hasty poor long term deals.

The fact that the EU want us to leave ASAP should be used to our advantage to push for a good deal and get them to sign off on it.
