This vote has turned nearly half the country into rude, aggressive hypocritical *********. Seriously i'm seeing people on Facebook getting outright insulted by so called 'friends' . Seriously the majority of the remain camp are just disgracing themselves

I've seen so many people unfriend each other on Facebook when they found out someone they knew voted leave. It's pathetic, yet hilarious at the same time. All these so called intelligent, mature and accommodating people, the "better half" of our society we're led to believe, acting like petulant children. I've never seen so many sweeping statements and people being tarred with the same brush as I have in the last 48 hours.

It's a shame, a real shame. But then it would have been the same if leave lost, but then if that happened people would just say "See, look how racist and uneducated these people are behaving this way"

I'm amazed that the "inclusive" leave party is poring forth an amazing amount of vile hatred towards people who have a different opinion.

I look forward to the day when we can talk like calm rational humans rather than screeching wailing headless chickens over this.

The decision is final, whether you agree or not, now we've got to deal with it the best we can and the first thing will be to stop this outright hateful behaviour towards one another.

I stayed well out of the whole debate simply because I believe that the entire referendum took the wrong tone. I also couldn't truly support remain due to their exaggerations and scare tactics even though I believe the idea to leave was insane..

Wow. Words fail me. It wasn't an election, you were not voting for a side or a team. You were voting for whether you personally thought we'd be better off in or out.

And yet despite feeling we'd be insane to leave you didn't bother to vote.

To be honest, i think the leave side would have turned around and been: 'okay fair enough, the country stays, but we warned you etc.'

Then the remain side would have still belittle the leavers but with less vitriol as they are now.

Leavers would have been disappointed and a little miffed but we would have carried on like any other day of being in the EU. It was just the point that the peoploe calling themselves the 'educated' are showing their true colours now.

Is that true? He mentioned not joining in with the debate. I didn't either, but still voted...

The whole point is that the decision is not final, otherwise people would be bickering less I imagine. There is still an opportunity for this to swing the other way. :)

But I do agree that the hateful behaviour needs to stop, and I apologise for my part in it...
