***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I hate you. :D

I've had two emails from Argos saying they're back in stock since I last posted, but one was at 5am so I missed that, and the second time they'd gone by the time I got to the payment details screen.

Guess it'll just be a chocolate one this year. If any. :(

I wont get to use either of them as they are for my boys.

:(

Remember seeing a SSD in the Liverpool store that looked like they had played football with it every day for a month. Bigger boxes must get manhandled more.

Yeah it's the trouble with limited kits you can't sift through and find a better box as they usually only have one or two that look like they have been used as a trampoline.

Same with online ordering of kits, I usually have to return two or three times to get an acceptable box. Or I get a partial refund to cover the box damage.

If its not too much of a cheek to ask, how much should one expect to pay for a Star Wars SSD?

I keep looking at the Lego Tumbler and really want to "add to basket" :)

I think I got lucky with mine, got it for £330 but generally they seem to be fetching around £400ish on ebay

Just bought myself the Mini Cooper (and got a freebee 'Winter Wonderland' set) using the Gift Card and Cheque I got as my Leaving gifts from my Job last week!! :)

Pics up when it arrives!! :D

I have not used Lego for over 20 years, but the Yellow Tang is one of my favourite fish so I couldn't resist buying one of these.

Other fish in the collection are...

Only 500 of each fish are available.

If you're getting precious about the state of the box then you're buying Lego for the wrong reasons.

When I buy stuff I expect it to be in new condition or I shouldn't pay a new price premium. If someone cannot deliver me a new item in new condition they get it back. Really am I going to take advice off grown men who are telling me what lego is supposed to be used for?! It supposed to be a toy not an ornament :p

All the lego I buy is for my son, built and played with as it should be. I keep the boxes for the day he no longer wants it all and I will re-sell it.

Anyway new figures for his stocking.

Wolffe was the hardest to get for a decent price.

Just ordered the Mini Cooper and Tower Bridge. I've already got the camper van and the robot T-Rex thing, and I think my wife is ordering the Technic crane mk2 for me.

This has sort of evolved into a collection thing for us, and you lot are all to blame :p

So far I've got the Shell Lego blue and yellow vehicles and the Drivers Club exclusive Fuel tanker. The two cars have been pretty disappointing really. Don't look that much like their namesakes although I understand the limitations due to size etc. The fuel truck is quite good though and a decent size too!
