***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Yeah same, my son loves the woeful series and all he asked santa for was the ghost. I'm just glad I got the ghost for £45 and the phantom for £14 and even then I feel I over paid :(

Just waiting on the 2015 sets now, so he can get a sabine :D

They're all on Lego.com now ;)

Saw that (the Slave I) in the Lego Store today. Very impressive piece of kit, love the detail on the underside.

Not my cup of tea personally, never understood the obsession people have with Boba Fett.

Edit: they had it constructed and in a plastic display box, couldn't see any to buy.

Me neither.

I like a set that people who doesn't know the movie/show knows what it is if they see it. So Tumbler says Batman, X-Wing is Star Wars.

Slave I is a space ship, a unique one for sure but that was in 1 movie in 1 scene? Apart from that I don't remember it much. I always thought that is a giant cannon at the bottom as well but I don't think it is which is disappointing.

What do you guys think of the 10240 Red Five X-wing as a build?

Decent? Satisfying? Or lazy with little imagination?

I had great fun with it. Was my first build like. :)

Took me a few hours, spread over 2 or 3 evenings. The only bit that's a little repetitive is the wings. But they were still fun to build.

Honestly, it makes an amazing show piece. My older brother was amazed when he saw it in person.

Do it. :D

I don't see that at all. I'm not a huge batman fan but the tumbler will only be known to the people who have watched the latest film. I don't reckon it would be anywhere near the most known bat mobile/vehicle.

It actually looks like a proper toy this time, so many of the kits are rubbish for kids to actually pick up and play. This looks very solid. I will order at least one probably two today.

Ah when I checked earlier they weren't there. That's £300 burnt up today, luckily not all my money :D

Tie prototype
Ezras speeder
Wookie gunship
Slave 1

The Lego Ideas Birds set is available to order now.

I really like it as a standalone, might pick up a second later depending on how they're selling, but don't think they will sell out as quickly nor be in as much demand as either the exo suit was or the research institute.
