How you finding it?

Good so far. It's a lot bigger than you think.
I really enjoyed the smaller x-wing build. This is just like building it's big brother!

Like the mechanism for opening and closing the wings.

Annoying that you spend all that money and only get an R2-D2. Where's Luke? It's supposed to be his x-wing!!
Fortunately I have a spare character from the smaller x-wing to sit in it.

It's "to minifig scale".

So awesome.

I am glad something in the UCS series is, that's what always annoyed me about some lego models, the scaling was so badly out it made no sense at all.
Especially with star wars lego, they'd have four or five separate scales they would work too, and nothing matched.

Well yeah, they have to make the kits practical. The Red 5 and Tie Fighter UCSs are minifig scale aren't they? But imagine how big a Super Star Destroyer or Death Star would have to be to be minifig scale .

That really is a lovely model, no use to me unless a 5 year old could pick it up and run round the house but it is a really nice bit of kit. If that was launched now even if I knew it would never be worth more than 5p again I would rather buy that for the £300 odd it went for than the £100 model for my son. The £100 model is more of a desktop ornament as if you touch it you are rebuilding it :D

Never considered how small the falcon it though, 26m when an F-16 is 15m long. For some reason I always thought of the falcon as bigger than that in length.

I got my TINY x-wing fighter for the pilot, also saw the Snowfighter ship comes with actual Luke with light sabre, I almost got that but realise that

1 - it is £21 more expensive
2 - he wears the wrong uniform and helmet, technically

Settled for a generic X-Wing pilot, I'll just pretend !

The Snowspeeder Set has Luke Skywalker.

You could have got just the figure from ebay or bricklink!
