***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Off to the lego shop tomorrow for the new superhero sets :D

My son bought himself three of them today. Only the £19.99 sets and below. I hate paying for the more expensive and non UCS sets in lego stores because you know you will get them for much less very soon on amazon etc.

Some nice new sets in the stores today, they had a built Heli carrier, it was actually quite nice, much preferred it to the SSD or Slave 1.

That wasn't in the store I went in, the other new hulk set (hydra smash set iirc) was and the colour of him is much better than the last hulk set. I think looking at brickset and my son will love that hulkbuster set. Oddly hulk is by far his fav followed by Captain America.

He got the duel with hydra set, Iron man v's ultron and the doc oc heist.

I'm just glad he's into something other that Star Wars. I do wish the lego shops would get rid of those interactive screens where you hold the box up. My son will play with that all day!

New lego tables for my son, to tidy his room up and provide a play area. Perfectly fits 3 of the large plates and allows room underneath to hide the kits when he's not at war.

Few recent builds and a work in progress, with the new sets. The lego movie set was very good value. The sith fighter was only to get malgus. It worked out cheaper to buy the whole set than the figure but it's a well built model.

Also have mos eisley unbuilt but tbh seeing that in the lego store yesterday I was struck how small it is. Much smaller than I imagined and if I hadn't got it for about £30-35 I would feel completely ripped off.

Not getting anything more now, until this lot is done and the Death Star is built!
(except the Z95 head hunter which is put by for his birthday) :D

Saw the speed champion sets in store today. Have to say not super impressed, the cars look too tall and not wide enough. Could have done a lot more to simulate the curves of the cars.

Sadly they have discontinued these so I bought up stock. Dunno why they have got rid of the xxl plates in favour of the 25cm ones :(

edit, my mistake I just noticed from the pic they have just changed the number from 628 to 10701, DOH! No wonder the 628's were showing discontinued on lego store!

£7.50ish each. A rip off tbh but they are the perfect size for lego tables. I bought him two tables so 3 per table. They are normally £10-12 each so £7.50 is about as low as they go :(

It allows some of the sets to stay strongly put together or move nicely from the shelf to the floor for him to set up battles. Lego men are pretty poor for free standing too so this helps him construct what ever he wants.

Indeed, I want a few for my daughter to play upon. It is the same, as they can play but the balance of the minifigs is for older kids.
Hate the fact their moulded plastic is so damn dear.
7.50 isn't bad for the size, was it from lego shop?
