***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

It was calculated to be £4800 - quite a sum of money. Never trusted him since.

Anyone managed to brick-link older sets? I think I can replace set 8860 using brick link and parts.

Not worth bricklinking 80s-90s technic sets, they come up on ebay fairly regularly and don't have anywhere near the demand/price premium as the newer OOP stuff

I have 3 8860s if you need one ;)

yup, just checked the 3 speed champions sets i had in my basket last night and i can get cheaper individually on Amazon. Screw that noise!

Amazon are price matching by knocking 40-20% off the RRP on most sets. This always happens. 3 for 2 only makes the most sense if your buying similar priced sets. I got the new wave of build-able star wars figures, 3 from Tesco and 2 from Amazon, the three from Tesco worked out slightly cheaper than the two from Amazon per figure. 3 for 2 can be better.

My Porsche finally turned up today \o/. I can't believe how big and heavy the box is, the pics online really dont do it justice.

Now I just need to not cave in until christmas as I want a project to do over the 2 weeks off. I might buy a smaller set to mess about with until then. Hmm, i can see this being an expensive hobby already lol.

Lads, with my son being born and taking up all my time I've missed out on the VIP UCS Falcon and never got around to getting the Saturn either :(

Do we know if Lego are producing more Saturns?

Did anyone grab the UCS Falcon? When is it officially released?

Saturn is still in production as is the falcon. You just have to wait for them to come back into stock

Plenty of Lego stores now have the Saturn. I picked one up in meadowhall last Thursday. They had plenty. According to the staff, it was a production problem which has now been fixed. I was also assured that more falcons are on the way.

Awesome :) :) :) thank you.

When I lived in Milton Keynes we had a store, when i lived in Manchester we had a store, when I worked in Liverpool they had a store, but now I'm in the UK's second largest city there isn't one...!!?? Huh?! :(

A little heads up that Tesco are doing 3 for 2 on toys, including Lego.

Viewed last night as saw a HUKD post yesterday on it. Nothing tempting TBH and as stated by another some items cheaper on Amazon. I swear last years one was better, may have also been closer to Crimbo, will have to check records.

Hoping event occurs again, with improved pricing...

Just seen this, and I've just the other day brick linked 8860 for £45 - minus the wheels. The set contains fairly common parts so isn't much hassle to find the required components.

Its my F1 racers that are hard to replace, haven't seen the on ebay of anywhere for reasonable prices. I'm so thankful I didn't let him store my UCS star wars sets. As the Death Star II goes for silly money now.

when my daughter was born, I missed a few sets, didn't have the money or time. Got back into Lego myself and really do wish I'd got a few sets myself but couldn't afford them. 2008 was when I stopped collecting in all fairness, started again in 2016. 8 years of missing sets, and missed some great ones. But maybe one day I'll fine them all, even if I have to use alternative brands like Lepin.
