That Fire Station, top left, I got that for Christmas when I was a young'un. It was fantastic! None of this single brick pannel stuff like you get now, it was all individual bricks to build up the walls, and the sliding doors were soooooo cool :D

Also got the Light & Sound fire engine, why don't they make those any more! There was nothing more awesome than turning the lights off and driving my fire engine around the living room with the lights and siren blaring :D

I've still got all the bits for that kit in a box in the loft, might have to dig it out!

AH HA! http://lego.brickinstructions.com/instructions.php?code=6382

That's the weekend planned :D

Right, with the xwing built I don't want my boy leaving it around for his 2 year old sister to destroy. Does anyone hang these from the ceiling or anything or display them in any way?

Anyone got the train or cargo train that's available now?

got them both what do you want to know?

You get a controller with each and they each have a red and blue wheel + 4 frequencies so you can operate 8 different trains from 1 controller. He got the cargo train last year and the red one this year I have to say I'm much more impressed by the weight and design of the cargo train, we also bought 2 boxes of extra track to make things slightly more "interesting".

My son just finished building the red train last night before bed and we gave it a spin on the tracks.

I have never felt such conflicting emotions of pride and jealousy as he can now self build without my help so I'm proud of him but so jealous as I now have to sit and hand him the pieces instead of the other way round.

As tempting as it is I just have no interest in the other parts of the very expensive set :D

Buy it for me and just keep the Hulk? :D

What lego is that is that part of the technics range?

Obviously not the custom built cube solver but you can make robots from legos?

If so WOW can't wait to get my teeth into that...

Thats build using Mindstorms. Its Lego Technic based but with a lot of custom pieces. It uses a control unit combined with a variety of sensors (light, sound, pressure, etc) to build machines or robots that can interact with its surroundings or be programmed to perform tasks.

Rather expensive, mind.

Took a half shift off work yesterday as it was so quiet and spent it constructively building my Star Wars Lego that Santa brought me :p

My shelf is getting rather full now though :(

So i've decided to start collecting the Collectable Minifigures. Went and bought 4 x Series 8 packs yesterday from Tesco, I got:

1 x Vampire Bat
1 x Pirate Captain
2 x Alien Villianess

D'oh! I had an app on my phone and tried to use those dots on the back to guess which I was going to get. Absolutely impossible, I got them pretty much all wrong.

Does anybody want to swap for the Alien Villianess spare?
And does anybody have a load of their swaps that they want to sell me for a reasonable price?

I should probably have mentioned that earlier. I would prefer older series if anybody has swaps for those.

My logic is that these are a bit harder to get and ill just be going to shops to buy the new series' that are out.

I'm open to anything though really.
