No, not really. Perspex is pricey. Your other option is to find a place that makes perspex stuff locally and see if they'll knock something up for you; though people on here have said that wouldn't be cheap either.

You could try and old fish tank or something

Guess I'm gonna have to borrow a display case from a museum... :)
 
This arrived today and I will be saving it for Christmas. Hopefully Wicked Brick will do a nice combined Bat Mobile and Bat Wing stand for them.

Lego is the perfect 'project' toy in these times of lock down. Last Xmas I got the Batmobile and it was kind of half present for my son and myself. We built it up together between the Xmas and New Year period and this year it's even more relevant :)
 
Oh I agree there, I just got the treehouse which has been on the list for some time but it has been handed to Santa apparently and I will be getting my wife the new Christmas set when the Xmas GWP comes round.

I’m trying to buy a PC for myself for Xmas, if anything comes into stock for more than 5 minutes that is...

I'm with you there - I'm building a Gaming PC for son for Xmas and went through the crazy NVIDIA ordering process on Thursday for a 3070 card. I also did the same in September to secure a PS5, in the 10 minute window before the UK supply was sold out.

Crazy times :/

That would be cool if they did. I'm surprised you got it, I thought it wasn't released till the 4th November. I've asked my Mrs for both but will see. I bought the falcon last year and only started it a month ago so not sure she'll get me them.

The 89 Batwing was released last week. Available in stores and on-line. Need to be a VIP member to purchase but you can sign up to that in situ.

I note it hasn't appeared to go on back order yet and the popular sets this year and last, including the 89 Batmobile and Pirates of Barracuda Bay etc, did very quickly.

My local store still has loads in stock, as they did at release last week.

Main review gripes cropping up, which I concur with, are the cockpit inaccuracy, wing edges, internal cut outs and lots of exposed brick studs on the wing face.

Has it flopped?

Naa I reckon it will will sell out, it's at a decent price imo, a reasonable amount of pieces Vs cost.
 
The relaunch of the saturn v has made me hold back on my lego spending.

I previously bought some of the sets because they hold valu . And should I need to resell later (let's say I get into financial difficulties) I could.

This re-release kind of scuppers that.

Might look more towards the lepin sets in future of the expensive models
