Maybe I'm just old and lazy. When I was a kid I used to build massive Mechano sets with my dad, using his stuff from when he was a kid. I'm not really into maths or engineering so maybe that's why I don't care for it any more.
Should really take it all out and introduce my kids to it. My eldest is 6 and still struggles with the pins a little so Technic & Mechano maybe in the summer..

I always lusted over meccano as a kid, bit it was horribly expensive.

I need to get out my lego from the loft. I have a huge amount of technics, a mindstorms set and lots of bionicles etc.

If only I stored free time in the loft, too...

I know. Its sitting in the corner taunting me right now, lmao.

I have a few sets saved up still not built, Steamboat Willie, Beatles Yellow Submarine, Friends Ce tral Perk, 4 Privit Drive and Luke's X-Wing. Really need to get round to them soon but tempted to keep Yellow sub and Steamboat incase they go up in value.

Buy another ECTO-1, build that and then tell her the one she bought for xmas is the one you're keeping for profit? :p

Personally, I’d bid £100. That gives you a decent chance of getting it because how many of your colleagues are into Lego.
 
Just completed Ecto-1:

It is a great build and the final result is spectacular with the look and all the opening and moving bits! Now just got to find a home for it!
My backorder of the Titanic is on the way after waiting for a month. :D She who must be obeyed has granted me space for display but it will have to be in two parts due to the massive size. I did give her a bunch of Lego Flowers before she said get it. :p
