***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I can't keep mine boxed, if they're there, they must be built.

I'm working on the ferrari daytona.
The gear box was a chore. Had to take thing apart as I missed a gear. Fuming!
Once you've done 4 gear boxes they get.. Repetitive!
But now doing the body it's more. Interesting.
I also have one to keep for resale (do this on all my sets)

Still got the lunar lander and bonsai tree in the queue.

And I want to build a second pyramid to make it a whole one!

I really like the white sets. Dunno if I'm racist. But my fav sets are saturn v, pyramid and my knock off imperial shuttle ucs.
I do love the orange porsche 911 as well.

When the light house is on sale... Yeah I'm getting that.

This is why I’m kind of disappointed with continual Supercars with the same layout under the skin. They’re all very ‘samey’ and very expensive too boot.

I sold a previously built but with pristine box GT3RS to a guy from Glasgow a couple of years ago for £90. Oops.

I also have a built Sian in the cupboard along with the box hidden away as well. Won’t be letting that one go so quickly or easily.

This will be my last Technic model. I didn't really want to get it. But I have one more shelf empty with my cars on it. So thought I'd get this one.

But I agree entirely

Building the falcon stand this weekend. Think I need to complete bag 8 or so before it can go on the stand. Display table arrives Monday.

Have added the cantina and scythe to my Christmas wish list :)

Need to decide whether I order the ISD, razor crest or both on Monday.

Well my double points basket is currently looking like including the UCS Razor Crest, Cantina, Jedi Starfighter, Defence of Hoth and Snowtrooper battlepacks (to go with my eventual ATAT purchase).

I have no inclination to add the ISD and that probably tells me everything I need to know.

Finished the ferrari daytona sp3.

Gear box was a bore. But chassis was quite interesting. Most I've had to be careful on a model to not make a mistake.

The instructions had a few errors. Not great for a set costing 300

Out of curiosity, do you have the other cars as well (Bugatti, Porsche, etc) ?? If you do, wondering if you have a stand for them or are they just displayed on a shelf ?

I have them all yes. They have a whole shelf unit (floor to ceiling) for them. This is the last shelf! I cannot get anymore!

Porsche (my favourite)
Bugatti
Lambo
Ferarri

Thanks ! Would you mind posting a picture of them all one day ?

Sure. Im going to print a triangle type stand for each so they sit up at 45 degrees. They look kind of flat on the shelves at the moment

The ferrari looks huge. Going to put it on its shelf tonight. Not gonna lie. Worried it might not fit!

Started dismantling my falcon Saturday morning to make some space and potentially sell - in my mind, i'd have it done in a few hours, cue last night, 6 hours split across Saturday and Sunday and i've done bags 7 through to 17, 6 to go - really underestimated this :D

Also as soon as I started doing it, the excitement my 5 year old had looking at it, taking off panels, looking inside, good 20 minutes he was checking everything out - yeah, this isn't getting sold, just into the attic for a few years and then something we can build together when he's older.

You dismantled it in reverse order?

I’m not looking forward to doing mine but I need to do it as it’s just in the floor of the spare room at the moment. As soon as there is a hint of potentially someone coming, I’ll get the order.

The plan was to just dismantle it and bag it up into similar pieces (E.g. technic pins in one bag, big plates in another etc)

I'm also thinking of dismantle.

Its just too big.
And I have to say as time goes on I like it less and less. Its the grey look. It's just so drab.

My study room is a small bedroom and it's the only place it thematically fits. But it's too dominating.

Here's a first world problem.. What order (top to bottom) do I put my Technic cars on my shelves?
