Mercury-Redstone, next to the base of the Saturn V. Scale seems to be pretty much bang on :)

I made a booboo on my Lambo build :(

Turns out i may have put one of the differentials in the wrong way round in the early stages of the build... now my front wheels rotate in the opposite direction to the rear wheels :(

The wife wants to buy me a light kit to fit to it so may wait till that arrives to break it apart to fix it.

On the bright side... i get to build it again :D
I did that with the chiron as I'd missed a rotate operation. I didn't mind rebuilding it, as it would have bugged me.

Yeah its bugging the cr*p out of me too but i'll wait a bit longer to rebuilt it.

I've got an operation in May with a minimum 2 weeks recovery time, will probably use that time to break it up and rebuild it.

Got an email from LEGO earlier today, about their Lord of the Rings 'The One To Rule Them All' Rivendell set. Anyone planning on buying it ? Not quiet sure myself, it quiet a big set and not sure where I would put it ! :p

Yes, I recently bought and built this set and really like it. It is my first "grown up" lego set having been curious about building one of these epic sets for a while but never seeing one I particularly like the look of. Being a big Tolkien fan I thought I'd jump on it.

I can't compare it to other sets, since it was my first, but spending a couple of hours on it after the kids went to bed it took me a couple of weeks to build. I have it displayed on top of my sub in my office/gaming mancave. Just be warned that the depth stated on the lego website (50cm) is way out. I just wish I found this out before shelling out for a custom shelf!. Thread discussing this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/legolotrfans/comments/115kqn9/lego_rivendell_depth_size/

Has anyone else bought the Airbus helicopter? The yellow pieces look almost neon to me, but look yellow in the instructions. Can't decide what colour they should be. Having a look at pictures online doesn't make it any clearer.

Will be a great addition to my clone wars corner.

Still contemplating some of the older starfighters, but visiting Bricktraders next week with a set to trade in and possibly exchange for a Tantive IV and some minifigs, so will see what happens there first.

Not directly related but i've noticed on a few recent sets, Bowser & NES, the colours of the bricks on the instructions (both online and in the book) don't directly match any of the browns, yellows or greens that closely.

Each set has subtle differences on some of these pieces and have ended up using the slightly wrong colours on a few sections.

OMG, if this is true I’m broke. The Ghost and UCS Venator are at the top of my, and probably many other fans list.

I’ve also ordered another snowtrooper battlepack. The time I come to buy an ATAT I’ll have nearly enough to fill it. They still have the ATAT setup in the Brighton lego store and it just looks so good.

Autumn double points season I’ll likely pick up most of my remaining wishlist.

I like the sound of a venator, I've not got many big star wars sets. I always wanted one of the star destroyers (not the ucs one as it seems overpriced), but I never got round to ordering one.
