***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

It's not £120, it's £179.

I'm tempted. :D

My boys also got a hefty bounty of more Lego for Christmas. I take great pleasure in assisting with the building. :D

I want this set so bad! :D I can't believe the price they're asking though....

Tempted to make the most of my money by buying more of other Lego I want.

The conversion is a joke tbh. I would consider £120 for the set, but £180 no chance. Will just find out when family/friends go to america and they can pick me one up cheap.

About to pull the trigger on Jabbas palace and the rancor pit. Both have come down a bit this week and I think both were over priced for what they were.

Couple more months and then I get my share dividend, then that Death Star is all mine, er I mean my sons :D

Here's my bolt-action rifle- it shoots lego blocks

Did you use some online instructions? And how is the structural integrity of it? I remember seeing a guy on YouTube years ago recreating loads of real weapons with Lego and rubber bands.

The instructions for the rifle are n a book called "Lego heavy Weapons" by Jack Streat- you can find it on amazon. He's a bit of a genius- the bolt action mechanism is a thing of beauty.

It's solid enough! It shoots blocks about 4 or 5 metres and is reasonably accurate.

Once I move house and get some time to relax later this month I'm thinking of treating myself to some Lego. What's the best value kit around at the moment for under £100? I've got the Technic F1 car which, given its size, was great VFM.

Either that or a few cheaper kits. Anything on offer?
