The first sets I got him I built with minor help. Now I let him build them and I watch and help if needed. I get loads of enjoyment just watching him build them, watching the thought process as he puts them together. It's going to take weeks to get that lot together. Today while watching the films he built the dooku set and bag 1 of 7 of Jabbas palace :D

It annoys me the Ghostbusters set is £50 whereas the previous 2 Cuusoo sets (BTTF and Mars Rover) were only £35 for similar sized kits. :(

£50 is an awful lot for a car and 4 minifigs. I think ill give this one a miss.

My son is lucky enough to have his own play room, so the sides are kitted out with Ikea Trofast stuff. So the Lego star wars ships go on the tops and the figures in the tubs. Any other lego stuff goes in the tubs. We are soon going to move him to a bigger bedroom and move some of it up there!

Howdy. Some very nice collections here :) Thought I'd show my small bunch.

I only recently got into collecting Lego when The Simpsons was announced but now I'm definitely an addict hah :D

First thing I bought were two houses, one to build and one to keep locked away, I then did the same when the mini figs came out - I have a complete unopened set but I am missing a Mr Burns for display.

Then I bought two R2D2's (one is to keep boxed) which I only just finished building today.

I then went on a bit of a spree in the store :o I read the Super Star Destroyer was ending so I grabbed the last two in the shop, I'm not sure if I will build one or just keep both locked away, time and space will tell. I picked up a Sopwith Camel Bi Plane because it looked awesome with the strings for the rudders and the green & chrome pieces - I can't wait to build it :D I bought the Red Five X-Wing as well, planning to hang both these big models from my ceiling in my gym, not sure if either deserve buying an extra yet. Oh and I think that is when I picked up the Cuusoo DeLorean little model as well, only one but I think I may grab another to keep boxed.

Yesterday I was buying a gift and saw the Ghostbusters set out a week earlier than I thought so picked up two Ghostbuster models which I blitzed through today :D

Haha you have gone mad!

I like The Ghostbusters set but obviously my son being only just 5 it's a gamble if he will ever like it as we did. I think it needs the Ghostbusters HQ too ;)
 
Tell me about it, spent way over a grand since Feb haha!

Ashamed to say I have no kids, these are for erm.. Investment purposes :D
 
3% Quidco as well..

Gone for two, one to build, one to keep. 240,000 of these made though, compared to I think 10,000 Deloreans, so probably not going to be a collectors item in the short term, if at all.
