So, here's the G710+ (am I the only person with one so far? :p):

I have to say I very much like it so far, it's pretty much perfect for me. I really wanted media controls, the Fn + F5 stuff is just rubbish.

I like the brown switches as well, can't fault them so far. They're a very nice blend of the reds and blues. The G710+ has o-ring dampeners fitted as standard, which tones the noise down quite a bit; I've tried a few keys with them off and it's notably louder, and feedback is similar.

The board is incredibly well built, it feels like you could hammer a nail in with it, or use it as a baseball bat. :p

I'm rather partial to the (extremely bright) white backlights as well, they seem quite scarce these days. The orange border around the G keys will no doubt divide opinion but I like it (and it matches my mouse and mousemat as a bonus).

Very nice Robbo, my mate has one and i liked using it, but i decided on the K70 which just came today, it was either that or the Gigabyte Osmium, but wasnt keen on the wrist pad.

Was a bit sad letting my G15 retire to the cupboard :( after so many years:p

Yeah, if this one was faulty I was going to get a K70! Very nice indeed.

I've retired my G19 for the G710+, it's served me well. I never really use the screen though and with 2 monitors its usefulness becomes even more limited.

The G710+ certainly does look a lot better in the flesh, I wasn't crazy about it until I saw it in the shop either.

That camouflage Filco is certainly different!

My QPAD became so filthy over time it started to smell quite strongly (yet tasty), flipping off keys I also found so much hair(perks of going rapidly bald) that would be enough to weave a sweater for a cat.

So, out of desperation I just gave my keyboard a shower, with soap and everything, it was completely soaked and submerged in water for a while.

After a day drying I plugged it in and it was spazzing out, so I thought darn it I destroyed it so I unplugged and left it but after coming back from a 10 day trip I plugged it in and it works fine.

So moral of the story mechanical keybards are tough! :D
