K70 arrived yesterday. My first try at mechanical and just wow, who knew it could feel so good?! My typing is dire at the moment though, gotta get used to the layout, but other than me being a tard it is perfect.

If you only knew..........

£120 for a keyboard is heavenly madness.

Wow, I have been looking for one of these for ages. Did you buy it in the UK?

Yeah
although its a UK layout, the vowels have the accented letterings, it also has a euro sign.

for some reason im not getting along with the coating/material used on the keys, i tend to find my fingers to "stick" for a brief moment when typing.

Oh, thats odd. Do the keys have a rubber feel?

How are you finding the brown switches? is it noisy?

they dont have a rubber feel but it doesnt feel like plastic at all
its really hard to explain

as mentioned, this is my first mechanical keyboard and the only switch i have tried before are the reds, they are definitely noiser than the reds but not by much.
have yet to try the blacks but ill doibt that will be any time soon unless the purple shop has ones in store

That's good to hear, I'm currently learning japanese so do a lot of typing on the site I'm using for my kanji reviews.

Superb of course! Just make sure you get a switch you like, though I imagine they're all good if you're used to them.

Soon I am hopefully going to be getting my first mechanical keyboard.

I'm not quite sure which keyboard yet but it's likely the switches will be red. I was originally considering Razer's blue switches but am I correct in believing that red would probably be better for games such as League of Legends, Starcraft II, and FPS too?

Also, do you guys have any good recommendations for a great fully backlit MX red keyboard? Together with a new mouse my budget is £150 maximum.
