** The Official OcUK Mechanical Keyboard Thread **

Recently bought this from QWERKeys, and coupled it with my Breaking Bad set from Tech keys (with my more favoured of the two elements :p).

I find both MX White and MX Green far too stiff, Black/Blue/Brown being fine, reds too light. And Clears are perfect! :D

I have a filco majestouch with cherry browns. Since using this keyboard I absolutely hate having to use the keyboards at work or uni now as they all have the rubber domes. If only I can convince work to provide a mechanical keyboard hehe

I got my QPAD MK50 Today (red) and it's fantastic. It's very sturdy and well built and it's fantastic to type on. Just got to get used to it!

A Steelseries 7G has been my first introduction into the mech keyboards. I am really tempted by the new Ducky III series though. £130/40 is quite a sum. However at the end of the day you do pay for quality and I'm sure I'd get it from those.

Blue switches for the clicky clack, and green backlit to match the Geforce/Razer accessories for the OCD will be my choice when they're released.

My old Saitek keyboard died on me today and I've just purchased a Steelseries 6gv2 as an emergency buy from a well known local store. I fancied going mechanical and wanted the big left shift button and the 6gv2 was the only one in the store that ticked those boxes.

To my horror after getting home and opening the box, my 6gv2 has a small left shift key!!! Does anyone know why this is, are the UK versions just made that way? This has really annoyed me and I'm tempted to take it back for this reason alone, it is very nice to type on though.

Ducky Shine II (Blacks with white LED)
Ducky G2 Pro (Blacks again)

or wait for the Shine III? Does the Shine III actually have any major differences beyond the space bar and the lighting effects?

Plus I really like the idea of mixing up the keycaps, where can you get backlight compatible keycaps? If you can't that helps even further with my decision!

Hey Ryan where would you find an MX clear, white or even green keyboard? I know some CM storms sold greens for a while but I think they got discontinued.

Theres so many opinions on mechanical keyboards the only thing holding me back is everywhere i've read they all say there very load typers.

Any 'quieter' ones around or is it just a no go if i want somewhat silent typing?
