** The Official OcUK Mechanical Keyboard Thread **

What does everyone thing about the Gigabyte Aivia? Got my finger on the trigger at the moment. :D Should I take the dive?

EDIT: Never used a mechanical keyboard before my last was a Razer Lycosa which died from some tea being split on it. :(

Thats what i got, i love it. :)

Good lord, that looks atrocious to use!

Tenkeyless doesn't necessarily mean butchering the layout! Checkout the CM Storm range for better designs.

Yep, not my cup of tea either tbh.

I've had the quickfire pro for a while now and its awesome, will deffo be going mechanical again if this ever breaks.

So glad I don't have to spend £20 or £30 every few months cause of keyboards breaking down on me.

Noppoo Choc Mini with red switches.

Great keyboard for £80!

The quality is as good as my Filco but takes so little room and is 50% cheaper.

Are there any mechanical keyboard manufacturers that give their keyboards different model numbers depending on the kind of switches they have inside? I'm shopping around for one but it seems that 80% of retailers on the internet don't bother listing what's actually inside the keyboards they're selling! (Gotta give props to OCUK for listing them, but they're out of stock of the MK-50 in browns and I don't want to stretch to the MK-80.)

EDIT: Actually let me rephrase that question - spec me a keyboard that:
1. has cherry brown switches
2. has a numpad
3. costs less than the MK-80
4. is in stock right now somewhere on the internet
5. (and ideally has a double-width left shift key, but not absolutely essential)

Has anybody purchased a UK version of the Black Widow Ultimate before? If so, is the LShift shortened or full sized? Would be gutted if it wasn't the latter.
