**** The Official OnePlus 5 Thread ****

Mmm.. Sounds like you've had enough of oneplus then. :D. I still would pick it and so many others too.

Unless they bring the prices down or at last give us some high end hardware for these prices then yes, I can see a lot of people looking elsewhere.

If someone asked me recommend a phone for under £350, it would be Xiaomi Mi6, no OLED but it's much better value and has a very nice camera with OIS and some water resistance.

Mi6... no Band 20, no Google services out of the box... would wait for the International edition before recommending it to anyone but the hardcore Android fanboys

B20 is a minor issue as most networks will have full 4g connection even without the b20 band.

Play store and google services are easy enough to install

I ordered the 128GB from O2, was quite happy then noticed they'd sent me the 64GB version instead. Sticker on the back confirms it is the 64GB version. So they quickly arranged a swap over before 12 noon. DPD arrived at 14.45pm , documentation matches the IMEI to 128GB but low and behold the box specs list 64GB slate grey. Refused delivery and told them to cancel the order completely.

*Update O2 have since told me there is an issue and they're waiting for stock from Oneplus .

Well poor signal areas are can be ones where battery use is very high, as it is constantly searching for a signal

You've definitely got some more stuff than just a few telegrams/whatsapps going on in the background as well judging by your status bar :p

Ha, yeah alright. Bad example :)

But yesterday, Dash Charged until 100%, probably about half an hour or so of overcharge and then I had to go out. First stop, a restaurant which may or may not have had good coverage, I don't generally study my phone when I'm eating but afterwards I went out in town where there was coverage and apart from a few texts and a bit of WhatsApp, 30mins of music on the bus that was it. The phone has been idle most of today, a couple of texts. And I'm here:

Android OS seems to using a lot of battery? I really don't understand it, my first charge, off of my computer lasted a good couple of days? Do the Dash Chargers not charge as much or something?

At this rate I might have to go back to my 3 year old Sony until this is fixed - if it is a software fault and it isn't the hardware that's actually faulty

I'd turn off bluetooth and NFC if you don't really need them. Also set location to battery saving and then in the top right of location there are 3 dots, click them and turn of location and bluetooth scanning.

The original device O2 sent me didn't exhibit any of the 'jelly' issue either and quite happy with the device aside from the fact it wasn't the spec I'd paid for.

They've gave me some compensation and will send out the correct model when they get stock, interesting to see if the replacement is issue free. Bit of a lottery it seems

Just got mine, upgraded from S6 after having Samsung devices for at least the last 5 years.

First impressions are good. Device feels really good to hold, it is very quick and enjoying the clean OS.

Anyone here removed the stock screen protector? It seems to be a bit of a dust magnet, and I got the Welcome Bundle that included a 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector that I might fit.

So, I've been away for the last week in the depth's of Cornwall. We stayed with some friends in their house that had no mobile signal at all and crap WiFi.

Heres how my battery held up over the course of one day, which is with everything on - WiFi, Data BT (Android Wear watch and Bluetooth speaker), with Spotify and GoneMad Media Player on pretty much all day.

Not too bad imo, given the lack of signal and poor WiFi signal all day.

Yeah I removed the screen protector as soon as I got the phone. The smooth feel of the glass is worth it alone.

Your battery life is about what I'm getting too. If not a tad more.

Any decent screen protectors out yet? Just sold my official on eBay for £20 after reading it's not great

Hearing the Orzly ones are good, 2 for £10 on Amazon

Hmmm got this on Friday so this is my first working day with the OP5, 10.30 in the morning and it's already down to 61%. Just been browsing the internet/twitter and listening to a podcast for a couple of hours :(
