So is it a proper DUAL SIM or not, and if not how has it been hobbled I wonder.

Dual SIM: I run a Vodafone and plusnet SIM together in my OP5. I can receive calls/texts on either at any time separately, I expect the 5T to work exactly the same.

Thanks - my 640XL is Dual SIM as well. Massively useful when travelling. Put a low cost local SIM in there and designate that SIM as the one to handle the data. Brilliant. And yes you can receive and make calls on either SIM. And in the UK when I was on Three, a second PAYG O2 SIM or something was useful when Three had no signal, which was all too often ! A pity most UK retail phones are not Dual SIM models even thought they are available in other markets. And of course Apple don't do them at all.

Yep I have the 2 networks so that basically I have either signal pretty much anywhere. Has been useful when Vodafone has nothing at all but full 4g on the Plusnet SIM.

Damn, that is surprising and makes it even more tempting. I was expecting a bit of a bump from the OP5.

I believe so - it's been going steadily upwards since the OPO which was 270 ish

Yep there was from OP3 to 3T. I got the 3 at launch for about £309 and I'm sure the 3T then launched at around 370 I think.

OIS will definitely help to give better low light pictures.

But I fear that OnePlus haven't added to the 5T.

That only helps for video stabilisation. You need OIS to take good pictures in lowlight if you're in anything other than perfect environment.

Don't get me wrong, it was a great addition, and works exceptionally well. But for photos, it means as the shutter speed slows down, you introduce more shake, resulting in a blurry image where the light doesn't hit the sensor in the same place

At the end of the day it's a phone that's half the price of the lastest iphone, it can't possibly pack everything into a single package that is 50% less than iphone etc.

I love my 5 and it take excellent pictures but I don't personally get this - "it must have OIS or I won't buy it etc"
