EIS i believe.
didn't catch the video, does it have ois?
As far as I can tell, there's no fingerprint sensor either! Only face unlock?
Nope, just a new camera for low light pictures instead of having the telephoto.
Changing for changing sake - OnePlus seem to be having an identity crisis at the moment.
Thankfully there aren't Apple levels of 'special'.As far as I can tell, there's no fingerprint sensor either! Only face unlock?
Lowlight is more important to many than telephoto which wasn't great to begin with.
OIS would probably meant a bigger camera module and therefore more of a redesign of the body.
All in all seems like a good update. Though they need to nail the camera on the OP6 or I'll be looking elsewhere.
The price just shows how greedy others OEM's are. £50 more includes a storage and ram bump. Compare that to a Pixel XL 2, £100 more for the same storage bump but less ram than both OP models.
I agree it should have OIS from the start and a 12mp and a larger sensor than it has now. If they make the same mistake on the OP6 then I will be as disappointed as you are now and look elsewhere.Should have had OIS to begin with, rather than annoying all of their customers who invested a lot of money. Don't forget, a lot of their customers are people in India, and other less economically developed countries, so £450 is still a lot of money. If they'd have been told that a new phone would be out 5 months later with better low light performance, something the OP5 was horrendous at, they wouldn't have bought it.
I don't think the camera area would have needed any more of a re design than it did. OIS would have made more of an impact to low light, plus they could have added a wide angle lens then, which, from experience owning a G6, makes a massive difference to photos.

If it's not very secure that it'll be a waste. I'm already waiting for someone to show how it's easily spoofed.Face recognition 5-10 times faster then Iphone X according to MKB.
Facial recognition won't be as secure, but for many I honestly dont think they'll care too much.
Hmmm, this or the mi mix 2? Both sound the same price and specs. Mix looks a little more 'interesting' though as I currently have nexus 6 and this looks the same nearly lol
