Tell me about it. I had the S7E and that thing drove me nuts. The way the light reflected on the edges was a distraction and typing was a nightmare. Never again....
 
useless fact alert: so it turns out the reason android phones with the notch have chins, is because apple developed a custom made display which bends top and bottom. Doing this means the ribbon cable connector between the motherboard and display can be moved to the rear of the screen rather than sitting at the bottom.

Yeah I read that the other day, kudos to Apple for going all out on getting rid of the chin.

Though the R15 looks to have a small enough chin to satisfy me too.
 
I wonder if they'll have 3 options or just stick with 2 and either have 64/128/256GB options or just 64/236GB options. I remember the 128GB 5T at launch in UK was £499, so I'm expecting they'll launch the 256GB version at £549 or £599 ? :eek:

That's a clever way to do it, have the clock/notifications still in the extra bits of screen, but with a black background.

I think they should move them down if you decide to have that bit black though, just to prove a point :D You don't want a notch? Well you don't get the extra screen space either!! :p

I'm still very happy with my 128GB 3T, what would tempt me to a 6 is an in-screen fingerprint scanner. I think I'll be waiting until the 6T for that...
 
I'll probably pickup a Galaxy S9+ later this year.

No notch for me and camera on OP6 will just be average again, they marketed the OnePlus 5/5T as a camera phone and reviewers somehow missed the fact 90% of the images come of blurry and looked like a water painting zoomed in.

Anyone want to take bets they won't even enable HD streaming on the OnePlus 6? :D
 
My goodness picking up an new smartphone is tough. I've wanted to upgrade my good old iPhone 6 for a couple of months now. Was thinking of getting samsung 8 but then dont like curved screen, was thinking of gettting razer but then quality problems, was thinking of gettign huawei mate 10 pro or p20 pro but then I prefer stock android experience, was thinking of getting finally pixel 2 xl but then we have a bunch of problems with the screen and bezels look fat at this point compared to competition. 5t seemed great choice for the cheap price but then need to send off the phone back to oneplus to upgreade widevine L1 and now oneplus 6 is about to be released so I am waiting for oneplus 6 and I am not sure it will even be a good phone, I do not like glass back already in leaked images.

I just want a new phone already argh.

Imagenry pixel 3 XL would be the best (assuming screen issues and bezels are gone) but this is 7 months away and I can not wait any longer....I cannot even wait for oneplus 6, feel like I should just get oneplsu 5t. :o

Somehow I doubt OP6 will have those features...

If Google sort out from the get-go and source a decent screen the Pixel 3 XL should be a great phone.

Shame Google don't sell dual sim phones though.
