The official Philips BDM4065UC thread

Well, there were eight...and now there are seven.

Just got one from OCUK. Got to hand it to Gibbo, it seems like he's managed to bag the whole of the UK stock!

I'm paying a premium but it'll be here before Christmas, and as I'm having 2-3 weeks off it gives me plenty of time to pla...I mean learn all about it! :D

Photo editing should be much easier, I can have all the Adobe tool bars splashed all over the screen instead of hidden in tabs!

It's in the warehouse queue now...*fingers crossed for delivery tomorrow with the other OCUK stuff I ordered on Saturday*

PSA: Nvidia drivers are having issues with 4k monitors at the moment, causing screens to go black, Windows crashes and the lowering of hertz from 60 the 30. Check the geforce forums if you're having issues.

Can't be! nVidia never have driver problems! :D

I've been using PWM monitors for a few years now and they don't bother me. I've got some LED light bulbs around the house where the strobing from the on-off cycles is noticeable (in that vision actually ends up sharper, if I pour rice in to a pan in the kitchen I can actually see the individual grains moving in to the pan, rather than just a blur) and they don't bother me, and I'm someone who never got on with CRTs because the flickering would do me in after a few hours.

Set displayPort to 1.2 in the OSD
Set 60Hz in your OS
Turn any fancy settings off in OSD ("smart...","orbitting...","any other alien sounding crap"), set adobe srgb to on in OSD then set brightness to 50%. increase brightness from there until you're happy with it.
Colour/contrast doesn't seem to get affected by brightness setting.

black level is amazing . this is my first VA panel really. i got LGs and Asus which are IPS . this this blow them out of water . My setting are

I tried to change to sRGB but the will automaticly change brightness back to 100, when turn down brightness then it will change back to 6500k again. ( what i mean is sRGB mode will fixed brightness at 100 )

sRGB is better than 6500k , the colours and black level seem better but its just too bright at 100 Brightness
