Have to admit, he is right as most will just throw it under the telly and mostly forget its there.

Its not like there are any wires to worry about from the front. The PS eye has its down USB port at the back (Reportedly) and the controllers are all bluetooth wireless so the only reason to look at it will to be place a blu ray in the drive..
 
The only thing I'm worried about with the box itself is the size. They're getting bigger and bigger every time, I could barely fit the PS3 in it's space! A nightmare for keeping it cool...

Right now, I'm imagining it to be a black square, the size of a Sun SPARCstation 20. :D
 
Watching the PS4 reveal and in the first 15 minutes or so he talks about gamers and games. Quite a contrast to MS and it's "tv,television,television,tv,tv" focus.
 
I'm getting worried now that these things are going to sell out before they're released. Apparently pre-orders are in the millions already. I'm sure I read that shopto had taken 600,000 pre orders, but I can't find the link again.

but now reading what I've just posted I'm thinking 'that can't be right'.
 
I'd wager they have several thousand pre-orders already. They opened pre-orders in Feb didn't they... and all over the 'net there are people talking about placing orders there. It's on hotukdeals too.

So I'd say over 1000 is given.
 
Liking this idea of able to play the new KZ after the first level has fully downloaded - the opposite of Spectrum multiloading :D

although a lot of people say they do not care what it looks like as it will be tucked under the tv, i still think design has a part to play.

e.g. i like how sony has moved away from grey (ps1) to black (ps2 and ps3). black is much more colour friendly to tv cabinets imo, my tv is black with a silver stand, my tv cabinet is brown/black (ikea colour), etc, etc.

therefore a white or grey console design would really stand out imo and be an eyesore.

so long as it is black and at maximum the same size as the original ps3 i will be happy. if it is the same size as the slim ps3 i would be even happier.i could accept a console marginally bigger than the phat ps3, but not too much or it would get ridiculous.

black imo is a must, to make it av friendly.
