*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Isn't it normally released in Japan first and then Europe the following year?

Oh how times have changed...

I'm really wanting one of these consoles just because all of my house mates will be getting it at Christmas, so it will be awesome to play online with them all, so much fun when I've done it in the past.
But I am a PC guy at heart and a console gamer second. I'm torn between getting a new GPU and maybe case for my PC or to save up for a PS4... Decisions

buy what you want not what everyone else does. if you want a ps4 fine, if your getting it to fit it id have a long hard think about it.

Yeah, I don't get it to fit in ha. I just want to play the games I love with my friends. And if none of then are gaming on PC then it's easier for me to change to console than 3 of them changing to a gaming PC. That's all I was saying

fair enough.

The money i was saving for a gpu has gone now to pay for my Ps4, my nosiy old 5870 will have to do for awhile more

yeah my stash of cash went to a 670 gtx as my 4870 was getting a tad tired. also im not liable to be looking at a ps4 till easter when the sales hit and hopefully some nice packages are being done.

Nice surprise! Went to GAME today to trade in my old 360 Elite, Kinect, some old 360/PS3 games - expected about £100, came out with £180! :) Will go nicely towards PS4 games/second controller!

The best part about console games is how cheap it is as you can rent games for peanuts per month!

That is very true. A plus side for PC gaming though is normally games coming in at a much cheaper rate. I've just preordered COD: Ghosts on PC for £30, whereas it'll be hitting PS4 at ~£45

Any game with a roster though, normally plummets in price after 3 months, which is good news. Older games can also be picked up for very cheap on consoles.

I'm not a gamer at all. I don't have a console, and had little time to really pay.

The one thing which attracts me more then anything to the PS4 is the price. I feel as it's worth the price and the tech that comes with it. Game are £lolprice still, however, they'll plummet a few months later.

It looks to be a great piece of kit and I'll hopefully enjoy the ownership. Funny thing is I have not pre-ordered it.

Steam and humble bundles are awesome on the PC, but so is PS+.

If you buy a new GPU for your PC will it enable you to play games that you wouldn't be able to play on your current PC? Will a console let you play those games and obviously all the console only games?

+1 - Looks like I'll have to stick out the GTX670 for a while longer lol :)

In all honesty - i'm a 'social' gamer. Don't really like playing games all on my own and much rather enjoy playing multiplayer etc with friends.
