Tell me about... I have no idea what is going on with the xbox and MS press releases and also the xbox one thread here at OCUK.

Its just insane and I'm happy to post in this thread as it seems a little more constructive and level headed.

Its why I got the XO and PS4 rumour thread reopened as it was obvious that the issues that closed it would just ruin the seperate threads. Honestly its pretty appauling, but made me chuckle while eating breakfast.

I'm still a little on the fence as to if I should try and find a cheap vita now vita will be a remote play device for PS4 none eye games. I'm pretty sold on the whole idea of vita remote play and PS4, if Sony keep up the work with PS+ then the PS4 and a vita would be a worthwhile venture for me..

Think Im in a similar position but decided that Im only buying the Vita because of remote play and the PS+ stuff but not because its the Vita. If I wanted a Vita or my lifestyle allowed it (i.e. great for public transport commuting) then Id already have one...

Im gonna wait til I own a PS4 and see what its all about (sure people here with PS4Vita will mention how it all works) and then maybe get one.

I have a crisp £20 note that will be going Tesco's direction today.

And they've kept the Japanese guy that does it for their version?! Bizarre!

Not sure whats going on, they claim they wanted an "older" sounding Snake, but only for the Western audience apparently... Also in MGS4 he was an old man, now he's younger and they want him to sound older?

Probably around the £400 mark - if you're worried about it being more than that you can always place your pre-order with Zavvi who have it priced at £399.99 with a pre-order price guarantee. Can always cancel it later if it turns out to be less, but at least you can have some peace of mind that way.

£400 sounds realistic, possibly even slightly less. I'd be very surprised if either of them ending up being more expensive; how much was the PS3 on release in the UK?

£425 I think.. I remember paying £349 for my first 40GB PS3. It was the GT5 prologue and I'd sold an xbox 360 to buy it and was to be honest a little disappointed with my purchase.

There was no trophy or achievement support, the online was much worse at the time and I missed project gothem racing, but over the years Sony made a lot of improvements and I don’t regret getting my PS3

Throwing those into XE and slapping on VAT gives you:

XBone: £308


Add on shipping costs and what not it'll probably be £299 for PS4, and £349 for XBone.

I'd have thought the prices would be closer the the dollar like £349 for the PS4 and £399 for the Xbox One (maybe a little less), since electronics and such are virtually the same across the pond at 1:1 ratio.

Yeah I paid £315 for mine in May 2008, came with GTA4 in the box. That was a glorious day. Walking home from town with it, I don't think I'd ever been so worried about being mugged before!

Why do people think the XBone will be more expensive? Because of the Kinect in every box? I'm pretty sure they've factored that into their costs.

The PS4 sounds like the more expensive device at this point.

I suspect you're right, MS know they've got a steady income from Xbox Live so they can afford to undercut Sony.

Kinect + more complicated hardware + yield issues due to the more complicated hardware (eSRAM mainly at fault)

Even though the PS4 is the more powerful console, the XB1 is actually a more complicated design.
