*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Me. I think 5 years is a nice length of time for a console.

Thinking about it more on a technological level this appeals to me as well BUT I'd get very sick if I had to buy all my digital content/games over again. Hopefully this shift to pc componants will mean any games we buy this generation will work for the following machines. That would be the best of both worlds. I know you can keep your old consoles but its not really practical people want all their collections in one place IMO.

As for people only having one controller... good god! Local Coop has and always will be where its at! ;).

Still not got my email from Amazon. Went to GAME yesterday and asked if there were any preorder slots left and he said I won't be able to get a PS4 until after Xmas without a preorder placed ages ago :\

Just had the email from Amazon and went for the Killzone pack. Not really interested in the camera or extra controller.

I was hoping the bundles would be better priced. The Xbox one for £429.99 does seem a lot better value now.

Could I ask when you preordered with amazon? I preordered June 11th but haven't got an email yet :(

Had no email from Amazon about a bundle deal, was going to cancel my PS4, but decided to get the PS4 and that'll be the only console I intend to purchase for some time, I remember buying a PS3, then wanting a 360, so got a 360, then decided didn't really like that many games on it, sold it, then forza 3 came out, so got another 360, then sold that, yet the PS3 has always been there, ready for some exclusive like uncharted, or last of us..

So, PS4, only a PS4 and no matter what, not handing over any money for a xbox one, regardless... (I say this now) But even then I nearly didn't bother with the PS4 either..

And I won't need a second controller, not sure I need the camera either.. But I will get Killzone, and Knack looks quite good too.

They aren't really issues just that people are obviously excited and a little impatient to get their bundle offers confirmed. I don't know the ins and outs of what it means for the retailers but I'd imagine that there's quite a few to process!

Yes Finally some news about The Order: 1886 :D

EktNQ5M.jpg

Gamers got their first glimpse of The Order: 1886 at E3 2013, when a brief and enigmatic trailer showed off a squad of soldiers in 19th century London fighting off an attacking pack of strange creatures. Ready At Dawn, best known for its PSP God of War and Daxter games, has remained silent about the new game in the months since. With our November issue, we blow out the full story on The Order, one of Sony’s big franchise premieres and exclusive PS4 titles for 2014.

The Order: 1886 offers a fascinating glimpse into a past twisted by strange events that alter the course of history. Players step into the shoes of a knight who is part of an ancient order sworn to protect humanity from the threat of monstrous half-breed creatures. Ready At Dawn fascinating fiction for its new franchise draws inspiration from ancient mythology and legend combined with actual historical figures; the result is a story we can’t wait to experience in full. This fiction is buttressed by an action-packed shooting mechanic fueled by awesome and unusual weapons, like a rifle that can spew blasts of lightning. The Order’s incredible visuals and technology speak to what we can all look forward to in the games designed from the ground up to run on next-gen hardware like the PS4.

Check out our cover for The Order: 1886 below. The issue features 12 pages of exclusive screenshots and info about this promising new game franchise.

Everyone seems to be preordering from the same places, its inevitable they are going to be chocka with preorders. Maybe try less obvious places like John Lewis, Argos, Currys, PC World, Gratton (if they are still around), Very, Littlewoods etc...

I wouldnt touch GAME with a barge pole.
