*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Do you complain because the buttons on your TV remote are made out of rubber also? Does that affect your choice of TV? :p

Actually, yes. My Samsung came with a metal smart remote that (whilst functionally is a bit naff) is very appealing from a design and build perspective.

Sadly, i've yet to discover a tv remote without rubber buttons :(

Would also explain why LG bundle their wand remote and use that as a big selling point too.

So saying someone's opinion is 'nothing' and 'total rubbish' is acting like a mature adult and respecting others opinions? (look, I can quote you, I did read your posts) i don't think so. You've come in, seen somebody post something you disagree with and done the standard internet guy thing of being obnoxious instead of discussing it or ignoring it.

Just because he prefers one product it doesn't automatically make the other product poor though, which is what he, and now you, are implying. It is really just a crybaby list of reasons that he came up with. I think he had one good point which is that the triggers are poor on the DS3 controller, and I have no problem with that observation.

Let me know when that pea under your mattress starts to bother you as well please.

It is an opinion not fact.

I don't know how you aren't getting that. If I think the DS3 is poor then I think it's poor, it doesn't affect what you think at all and doesn't mean I'm saying you should think that. Hence, no need for a childish response.

Wrong. Here, I'll quote it for you.

It's pretty poor...

.....

The DS4 does look a lot better, but it's still not as good as the Xbox controller. And that's a fact, not a "fanboy" comment, as i'm in the majority who hold that opinion, thanks.

What a load of rubbish...

There's no need to even post counter-points because it's such obvious drivel :p

If you are really serious about those points then you must be an unco-ordinated child with rage issues and a latex allergy or something :D

And yet there you are continuing to be a hypocrite, continuing to bait me and failing to contribute all at the same time.

From GAF:
Rumour: PS4 - $429/$529 models/ Online paywall/ DRM left to publishers #1

PlayStation World will be a tiered premium service. Most likely paywall will be there. Still unclear if the most basic functions aren't behind a pay wall, but MOST features will be.

Price of the system should be $429 low end-- $529 (larger hd + camera + better finishing?).

I know its been posted before, but it's mostly right. If you are ok with the price, everything else should make you happy.

A. Basic online play / cross game chat / streaming. (30 a year)

B. All of A. + PS Plus discounts / games (60 a year)

C. Gaikai Streaming (100 dollars a year)

Numbers were guesses, and this info is from a week AFTER PS Meeting.

Interesting! Think I'll just buy a Wii-U :p

Nah, I think you've got "Accuse the enemy of being a troll as a defense" covered.

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response.

Childish insults on Pioneer qualify I think?

Anyway let's stop this now, it's only going to get more silly. Grimm you can email me if you want to continue this.

Please. Pioneer has been trolling since the rumors thread.

Same but only if it's services like Netflix and the like that are behind a paywall. I'm not going to pay to access services already paid for.

According to that rumour from Thuway, it would be just multiplayer, stuff like netflix will still be free.

What doesn't make sense about this though is that there are already several 'Free to Play' games confirmed for PS4, if you need to pay to play online then these aren't really free to play anymore are they...

I wasn't sure with the "/streaming" thrown in under the $30 option.

EDIT: $30 a year is nothing, but it's the principle of the whole situation. Paying for what should be core features of something already purchased should never be common place. MS had to keep costs low for Live as they were the only console to charge for online services. Sony this time would have to keep costs at a similar level so as to not be seen as worse. What's to stop the next gen after the One and PS4 charging twice as much for online privileges?

$100 for the top level with streaming games? Thats less then $10 a month, £6? Depending on what is on offer, as you get from the looks PS+ so you get online gaming, PS+ content and streaming of older PS1, PS2 and PS3 games? Wow ok it don't sound good until you look at what you'll be getting each month.

Everyone moaned about PS+ when it first launched, soon turned into a very popular service. xbox live and making you pay to gain access to netflix is simply not on, but if its true and netflix won't be behind a paywall for PS4 - well good move Sony.
