Any news if our existing headsets will work !! i like my TB wireless headphones as i dont play with the TV sound on during the evening.

Have they announced much about the media centre? For example is it possible to stream movie files over LAN from my PC/Laptop through the PS3 to the TV?

You can do all that now, so I would imagine so. It's pretty basic functionality these days.

Sony may have just shot itself in the foot after revealing DRM on the PlayStation 4 is entirely in the hands of the game publishers.

The platform holder was cheered last night after it appeared to take a huge step into winning over gamers by stating it would not place restrictive DRM on PS4 titles, but it appears this only applies to first-party games.

Quizzed on the matter of DRM by GameTrailers, Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton said: "We create the platform. We've certainly stated that our first party games are not going to be doing that, but we welcome publishers and their business models to our platform.

"There's going to be free-to-play, there's going to be every potential business model on there. And again that's up to their relationship with the consumer."

Asked again about DRM he added: "We're not going to dictate that. We're going to give them a platform to publish on."

"The DRM decision is going to have to be in the hands of the third parties – that's not something we're going to dictate or control or mandate or implement."

I am taking a guess here but it seems that PS4 is smaller than PS3 in size ?

But the design is definitely sleek, modern and futuristic :cool:

We know that, its the exact same DRM as is in place on this gen consoles, Sony cannot dictate to publishers about things like online pass etc. What it does mean its not system wide, no Sony 1st party game will usse it, and if 3rd parties want to use it then they have to sort out how to them selves.

Isn't that pretty much exactly how it is now? Publishers use online passes as a form of drm, so you can still get the game, but will probably need to buy an online pass to play online.

It won't be. They tried to divert attention to it by claiming some PS3 games will be stream-able to the console via Gaikai however I wouldn't put any faith in that.

It's the same with the Xbox too, both consoles are just too different to their predecessors for it to be feasible.

So.....it's still exactly like it has been this generation, exactly like they said last night, publishers can do whatever they want, hence the online passes from EA.

All that's been said is that if a publisher wants to do anything like that, on their head be it.
