*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

the game will start then download the patch in the background while you play (although wont allow online) then when its finished next time you play it will install automatically or you can go to notifications and update it manually.

Thanks

Also does anyone know what the spinning circle is on the game icons in the UI?

Came out of killzone and there was a spinning circle on it, I presume it means the game is still open or it's updating/installing but this was after a while of playing so I don't think it was the latter.

I almost didn't want to turn mine on I was so scared of a dead one :p

Mine is made in 'China FOX' so I'm even more surprised it works (so far) after those horror stories about the Foxconn factory.

Also, don't know if it's just me but BF4 doesn't seem that improved graphically in MP. Granted on a 64 player server there's a lot going on but I wouldn't say it looks better than BF3. Still, similar graphics but with 40 more players, I guess I'm expecting too much for it to look superb.

I'd say I can notice the improved frame rate though which makes it feel smoother.

Well argos parcel tracking is complete tosh, console is down to be delivered today and the tracking system doesn't even bother to show anything, it simply says unable to display info. Hopefully it will arrive at a reasonable time hassle free!

Any one have any idea who Argos use for smaller items? Tracking number starts AD if that is any indication.

I must say that after watching some reviews i am quite looking forward to playing warframe. Cant knock a free game and it looks great quality wise. Could well be a feature that keeps me far more interested in my consoles than i have been in the past.
Going from having no interest in a new console 3 weeks ago to now being very excited at the prospect of scratching my gaming fix.

Played quite a bit of warframe already on pc ages ago and its not a bad game

Mines a china fox one as well , I think most would be made at Foxconn

I think it's a bit harsh giving MrMoonX a hard time for selling PS4 for big bucks, i see nothing wrong with it, if someone wants to pay the £500- £600 for one then they are the fools really, when all they should have done is pre ordered like everyone else

I would have bought loads of ps4's if i had the spare cash to make some money on the side, what is wrong with that, it's no diiferent from a company selling products for profit.

Got mine rigged up to my Yamaha RX-V671. set Audio to DTS and HDMI Link enabled - works perfectly through my 55" LG 760T - vibrant and crisp picture - yummy.

Missus was pretty impressed with the Playroom - showing off the next gen lol - just hope the kids don't ever find it!! - they've got their xbox 360 to play with until it dies :)

Killzone - meh - good attempt at storyline but a bit predictable so far, have to admit the graphics are good though - me missus wasn't that impressed at which point I kicked her out the room lol.

Phone is rigged up to it fine, and so is my vita now - had a quick shot on resogun via remote play - works surprisingly well!

Whilst PSN wasn't working when I first got it (10AM yesterday) - it was all fine when I tried it again at 9PM yesterday.

Satisfied? - Hell yes - I like the standby mode, ONLY complaint I have is that its laid horizontal at the top of my desk, so the light status isn't immediately visible without walking up to it to check - could have done with a status indicator on the front too, but not a deal breaker.

Contemplating accessories today - what to get what to get! - think i'll grab a dual shock official charger...

No but comming on here and boasting about it is when so many can't get their preorder fulfilled or replacement if theirs is faulty.

You can't cry when you are taking advtange of people

This is the first time I've ever felt my thumb slipping of a Ds controllers left stick, the dome sticks were fine. Thinking of putting some type of putty on them to dome them up.

I agree. I've been watching the bay since launch night and it's not surprising that people are paying up to £600 for one. I sold mine for profit and a part of me wishes I hadn't as the feedback on here is saying it's a great piece of kit. Even with that said, I'm a patient guy and can wait till next year when better titles are launched. I made a few bob for just standing in line doing nothing. Not bad going.

I saw one go for £800 something last night. People are desperate and there is a demand. With christmas right round the corner I don't think many parents want to have upset children.

The only real downsides for me is the PSN won't accept my VISA debit for some reason so I'll have to look into that and that its a little too easy to hit the fast forward trigger when watching a Blu Ray (due to how the button is positioned on the controller when against the floor). BUT overall VERY happy and so glad I jumped the MS ship this generation; It's a solid 9/10 from me. :D

I had the same problem putting in my card details too. Put a " - " between each four digits of your card number where the spaces are on the actual card.

Still can't enter my PS Plus code, want to try Resogun!

Finding the console to be very loud as well in comparison to my XO. It's a nice console overall though and I really like the UI (probably more so than the XO's) also the tune in the background is soothing, but I do wonder if they should have just went for the power brick to get the PSU out of the machine.

SONY said:
We are aware that users are experiencing some disruption to the PSN service. To minimise the inconvenience we have suspended the “redeem voucher” functionality whilst we investigate further. Unfortunately this means that money cards, product vouchers, PlayStation Plus vouchers, PS3-PS4 upgrade vouchers and any other vouchers for digital content are not redeemable at this stage. Other PSN features such as log-in, online multi-player gaming, PlayStation Plus trial, PS Store (excluding voucher redemption), trophies, messages, friends etc. are all available.
We apologise and will provide an update to this announcement soon.

which app do i use on my ipad to interact with the bots in the gamesroom? I remember seeing some vids where someone drew a ball and swiped it into the room and the bots would play with it..

LOL whats even better is that under the EU, all electrical goods get 2 years warranty. So its £75 for nothing. Adding that the Sales of Goods Act actually covers goods for up to 5 years (or what you reasonably expect that item to last, ie, TV about 5 years, bread about 3 days)

Is that true for the 2 years warrenty if I bought it online?
