*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I know I've posted another thread about this, but does anyone have any idea here..

The internet and PSN on my PS4 is so slow it's ridiculous.

I've just run the Test Internet Connection part and got this (excuse crappy iPhone quality).

85.9kbps down and 110.6kbps up!

This is a quick speedtest done on my Mac

mate was having the same problem, he rebooted his router which did the trick

I've just plugged in the PS4 into the router via ethernet and I'm now getting 10.7Mbps down and 754.8kbps up.

Much better, but the question remains - why is it so horribly slow via WiFi compared to everything else?

It's sat next to my Xbox One (98% signal) and only has 70% signal strength.

The router is literally 8-10 feet away from both consoles.

Mines maxes out @ 23/6.5 on BT fibre of 75/16.5

http://speedof.me/ try this in the ps4's browser (none flash/java based)

I get same results as connection test on PS4

Was just about to order one from Shopto, when the wife had to let slip that she's got me one for Christmas so yayy, but sad I ruined her surprise.

Nice one... I got one for my birthday, so I'll get it tomorrow. nice feeling knowing you're getting an awesome gift. I can't wait to try killzone. Sadly, just been told I can have the gift until tomorrow eve as missus knows if she lets me have it tomorrow, I'll take it work and plug it into my laptop - which is just what I'd do and tether up to my phone for PSN lol

So not long now until I can try a PS4 and the DS4 out. : - ) These PS4's can't be all bad if they've shifted 2.1 million already..

Lol at people getting all worked up about people selling something for a profit.

It's how the world works.

Imagine if there was businesses evolved around the concept..... Oh wait.

I'm sure if there was a high horse you really wanted, that you'd be annoyed if the only way to get one was above RRP

Sorry this example wouldn't work you've already got one haven't you? :o

+1 people cried on here about me having six, but oh if a business does things for profits, it's ok  seriously we all had the same chance to order back in June

Dad used to have a building business, he'd make more profit by added funds to supplies he would get at discount then he did from the labor.

Window, he'd mark up as much as 20%, its just the way it is sadly. Supply and demand. i'd personally not buy a games console over the odds, but many would.

I did laugh at you but seems you did something a mate of mine said the other day. We saw in CEX Ps4 for £520. He'd wished he'd purchased enough to max his credit card out and sold them on ebay.

I only pre ordered one and can't sell it on as its a birthday gift, anyhow I want to play on it. But the idea of making money is always tempting I guess.

I swear you must be an absolute moron to invoke that logic.

Businesses are adding value by obtaining products that are difficult to source for an individual and providing a point of sale at which to view and buy them.

You're simply being selfish and buying up excess product to flog at an extortionate price. Should I assume you purchased all your PS4's from Sony and their manufacturers? Or have you just ordered them all from a reseller like Amazon and are now adding a mark up on top of the retailers own one. No.

Managed to reserve one at argos yesterday and picked it up today.

Wouldnt boot up with 360s hdmi cable but thankfully did with the pre packed one. First impressions when booted up killzone were that it looks like a pretty well specced pc. Killzone sucks though unless its just me i cant find were im supposed to be going. Not tried it online yet.

Booted bf4 straight onto online and love the 60fps, completly changes the game. Can see me playing a lot of this.

Managed to adjust from the 360 pad quite quickly but the analogue sicks seem a little more slippy.

Overall its awesome, just what i wanted pc quality graphics without the hassle of a pc and nothing more. Hate what microsoft did to the one as i loved the 360 but it i dont like any product from microsoft lately.
