*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Oh well PS+ problems aside, I did come across this and 2014 looks tremendously awesome for PlayStation.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Seriously, thanks for posting that, I haven't been this excited about gaming in a LONG time. :D

The only problem is... with so many of those titles beinghige and open-ended, how the **** am I going to fit them all in?

Personally, I would get more use out of an iPad air than a PS4 right now. You can always get PS4 later in the year when the better games are starting to arrive.

Thanks for the advice, yes after trying to sell it for over a week and not getting any interest I decided to take it back to Argos(you would have thought just before Christmas you would gets lots of interest looking for late Christmas presents), not enough games to interest me yet so will pick one up when it improves, Xbox one has a much better launch line up so decided to keep that, think I will get more use out of an iPad Air for now so will be picking one up soon, I haven't had any generation of iPad before.

Managed to snag a Knack bundle thanks to a mate who works at another Argos.
Not the best bundle but at least I got one at last :p

Just in time to go into work tho :(

I agree I've just finished knack and really enjoyed it, it's what it is a simple platformer. But loads of fun carnt understand the bad press it's had myself think they played a different game. Graphics are nice on it to actually.

Console is awesome. However, NBA2k14 is quite simply the worst game I've had the pleasure of buying that has that AAA glow about it. Constant connectivity issues, it being an always on game, makes it unplayable - even single player.

Also, why on earth have Sony failed to deliver DTS and 5.1 over optical? A large % of people will use this set up, especially those that bought amps a while ago. NBA2k14 constantly sound stutters because of this.

Sony need to fix optical out and 2k need to desperately fix NBA2k14. I imagine 2k being in some trouble because of these issues.

It seems fine for movies (only played one) & need for speed - its happened once in COD, once in the dashboard, when I first got it. However NBA2k14 is terrible - constant sound issues.

I'm sure it will be fixed, but it takes the edge off it. Apparently some audiophiles are claiming that the optical out isn't even sending out all the channel data.

I use optical on my ps4 and use DD5.1 with no issues, that's having played knack, killzone, need for speed plus all the ps+ stuff. Maybe it's your ps4 that could be faulty or optical port.

Anything is possible. But so far it is just COD and on dashboard thats happened once, and I think that was before it was patched up. NBA though is a constant offender, which is annoying as NBA games are my favourite and only sports game I play.

Fingers crossed that it is fixed soon.

I'm gonna watch despicable me tonight, so we'll see how it sounds. I think it'll be fine.

Hopefully it is fixed yes but it also may not be fixable if a faulty unit. I'm going to swap NFS in for NBA I think so will see if I have an issue. Don't get on with NFS.

Let me know. I think it is something more game related…but many on the ps4 forum have said it happens in COD a lot, i've not played COD much and it has happened. But NBA is gaurenteed sound stutter fest.

It's never happened in NFS or when playing a movie.

Still thats what a warranty is for, just wait and see. Many have said that they returned theirs and the replacement did exactly the same thing…perhaps a compatibility with 3rd party optical DTS DD5.1 is the issue.
