*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Well I've had ejecting disks issue for a couple of years now. But it has never been that bad, only ever required a restart and it would work again. It wasn't a big enough issue at the time to go through a in-warranty return process. Besides I don't even play it that much so it never really bothered me.

However, I'm pretty certain after a software update is when the issue got to where it is now. I don't see how this is my fault and why I should be out of pocket when I've never moved the thing or ever tampered with it.

Not to sound harsh you should have returned it then, Its a few years, expecting it for free when its out of warranty why should they? Its not your fault its faulty and its not Sony's either, Warranty cant go on forever.

Your not owned it, yeah it sucks balls i know, if its the drive id avoid a private repair as prices i saw were about £150, be easier to get another

No, once 2FA is enabled you cannot log into any consoles until you put in a code.

Go to your account management either on the PS Store web site or on the console and you can access a transaction log which will tell you exactly when those games were bought. Hopefully they were from when your account was previously taken over.
They were bought after I had my account back and there are over 60 downloads all on the same day.

Wasn't Dirt 3 a PS Plus title for PS3? Did you have PS+ on your account?
I believe it was, yes I have PS Plus but do not have a PS3 anymore, It definitely was not me that downloaded that or the other games.

This is all very bizarre.

Yeah that is my fault for not acting on it when it was still within warranty. I guess I was just expecting a gesture of goodwill when I phoned them. Microsoft replaced my 360 when it red ringed out of warranty.

Microsoft had no choice once they admitted was a known issue though I had 360 issue too! They point blanked refused me mind

Well i want to try and get everyrhing I need for around £2k

Obviously that seriously limits my options in terms of projectors which is why I am tempted to get a big 4k tv instead. But the wife likes the idea of a projector for movies. Not sure if a projector is worth it on a 2k budget though.

Love using my projector for games and roughly hit that 2k budget, my projector is an optoma HD50 which apparently has bad input lag (i don't notice it) i have a pull down screen which hides a 42" tv

Optoma HD50 £900
Denon avrx2200w £379 (2 outputs, 1 for tv 1 for projector)
Q Acoustic 2020i £99 per pair (2 pair for fronts and rears)
Sapphire 106" 16:9 screen £165
Slim line TV wall mount £20
Ceiling mount £60
Centre speaker and TV i already had :)

Isn't that the issue the original launch PS4's had with the eject button being too close to glass tables etc?

Is there a 3GB/4GB drive that will fit inside the PS4 available yet?
I know the firmware now supports it. I don't want to be mounting HD's externally, so just wondered if there were any 3GB+ HD's that were thin enough to fit available yet?

Awesome man... I'd need emergency bog roll with that setup ;)

Yes, downloaded it a few nights ago.

My PS4 keeps ejecting disks. I tried all the remedies posted online but nothing works. The damn thing even turns itself on randomly and starts ejecting disks. Even after the disk has been ejected I can still hear the motor inside spinning and it's pretty loud. End up having to unplug the console. Rest mode or fully switched on, doesn't matter, it'll still switch itself on and keep that damn motor spinning. Oh yeah and it also keeps making beeping noises, randomly, even whilst switched off as well.

Tried calling Sony but they can't do anything unless I pay £125. Which I don't think is fair since the console has sat in the same place since I got it and never tampered with it. Got the console a couple months after launch from HMV. :(

Don't think there's anything I can do unless I pay which I'm not willing to do as I hardly ever play. Mainly used for streaming services.

Every remedy? Have you had a look at? http://venturebeat.com/2015/12/14/is-your-playstation-4-randomly-ejecting-discs-heres-a-few-fixes/

Neither me or my brother can add funds to our PSN accounts. It just says funds could not be added and all our card details have been entered correctly. We both use the same router (VM superhub 2)

Any ideas? Could it be a router setting?

I do it via cd keys, you pay less and sony dont get bank/card details :)

The only way I can make purchases from PSN is by adding funds via Paypal - which in turn takes the cash straight from my debit card.
No matter how many times I attempt to add a debit/credit card directly to the PSN it tells me there is something wrong.

Use cards or like me if you do use a debit card remove it once the purchase is done, I did that other day as cdkeys was useless for me on black friday to buy anything

neither paypal or card details work for me on adding funds via psn store....
i have to go the long route lol buy prepaid cards from amazon and use there add to account feature and the funds go into my accounts psn wallet instantly then i can buy something from them ;) lol

What's the best PS4 Black Friday deal?

I want to pull the trigger on something today. Or you reckon worth waiting till Cyber Monday?

Cheers,

Su
